Repeating Crossbow Question

I got a repeating crossbow, but I can't get it to fire 4-6 shots before having to reload. It will just fire one, then I need to reload, then another just like a regular crossbow. So how do I get it to fire multiply shots? I don't have the feat for it, does that affect it?

Repeaters in DDO fire three shots before reloading.

Never tried without a feat so I don't know what happens, will try and let you know....

Unless you have the Heavy/Light Repeater feat, you will not be able to fire more than 1 bolt per click.

You need Hvy Repeater Feat for Hvy Repeaters
and
Light Repeater Feat for Light Repeaters

No two for one deals.

Heavy repeaters do a bit more damage.

Light repeaters will fire a bit quicker IF you have "Rapid Reload" feat.

not to mention, for some people One drops more often, so generally they base what feat they take off which one they get more often.

Nope. Humperdink's time trials with Light Repeater matched previous trials with Heavy Repeater (and Rapid Reload didn't work on either).

The ONLY differences between Light and Heavy Repeaters are damage and availability on the player trades market.

I almost didn't post that part. I know in pnp you shoot faster with a light repeater and rapid reload. I was told by a reliable source that it was the same in DDO too. I'm not sure who to believe, but I'm a heavy repeater user, so it makes no difference.

From what I've read and researched here on the forums, Rapid Reload *used to* work on Repeaters, too. So, your source could have been correct at one point in time. But at least since Mod3, no longer does.

It did (or seemed as such) at one time... cuz my light repeater toting rogue still has the feat.. >.<
Time to go feed Fred a shard I guess.. hehehe

Thanks for the reminder gang.. now, if only Fred could just get that 'I want aggro' tatoo off my rogue's forehead after using them (repeaters)... hehehe

u have to take repeating crossbow feat if not it will only fire one shot at a time

My rogue mech takes heavy repeater feat to start because light repeater prof comes from level 6 mech core.
