I'm looking into making improved precise shot toggleable and how hard that will be to make happen.

For melee 'precise shot' are you wanting to turn off glancing damage on the two handed weapon styles?

Otherwise with most weapon styles, if you target a monster and are facing in it's general direction, the hit and damage rolls will be targetted at that creature.

    Yikes!

I'm pushing to get some stuff in for Eladrin for the weekend and some stuff for me.

Sometimes when the train of thought comes pulling through the station, it is hard to stop it. I'm working on some good stuff right now that I enjoy, so time passes by pretty quickly. I'm checking the thread during compilation to pass the time.

    Cheers,

I hope Miss Codog is thanked for being so patient, I know a few girl that wouldn't enjoy that situation.

My dryad of the forest is sound asleep at the moment. When she got home from work, we went out for dinner and she had a few margaritas to relax and fell asleep really, really early this evening. I got the kids to sleep at their normal bed time and decided that I had some stuff I wanted to do tonight. So it's all good. I'm pretty much a night owl anyway and this isn't anything out of the ordinary.

    Thanks for your concern though.

Please no. There's nothing wrong with just equipping a one-handed weapon when you don't want to do Glancing Blows (other than the fact that you have to carry a 1H weapon). And, frankly, I don't want another toggle on my hotbar.

Well, to be fair, if you didn't want to use it, you wouldn't have to put it on your hot bar.

Actually I would. I assume it would be like other toggles in the game and shut itself off when I log out (ok, CE and metamagics stay on when I log out, PA turns off). Meaning I'd have to have it somewhere to turn it on every time I log in.

But, I don't think there's anything wrong with positives and negatives in combat styles/gameplay mechanics. THF = uber damage potential, but overall lack of control. "With great power comes great responsibility."

Codog said a toggle to turn glancing blows off. To me that sounds like when the toggle is on, you don't do glancing blows. Thus, you'd want it off and (assuming it didn't mysteriously turn itself on from time to time) you wouldn't need it on your hotbar.

How many people would really want to spend a feat on that? Considering you can put a 1h weapon in your hand and achieve the same result, I'm thinking there are probably better uses for my time on a feature by feature basis.

Please present your case if you disagree.

    Codog

PS. Do you guys really want power attack to stay on when you log out? If so, I'm listening. Sometimes I feel kind of weird about having a toggle that somebody can accidentally leave on where they are getting -X to hit. It's possible to convince the design lead otherwise I am sure.

Metamagics (-X to SP, essentially) stay on when you log out. Just for comparison.

I think generally speaking, people would like to have their toggles stay the way they put them as much as possible.

There you have it, Codog. Kargon has spoken. *chuckles* Honestly, I don't see why power attack, combat expertise, or what have you doesn't stay on when you log out. I mean the metamagics on my casters stay active when I log out and I rather like that.

As for a toggle to turn off glancing blows... bah. you've better things to spend your time on. That is my opinion on that matter.

How about letting us wield One Handed Weapons in two hands?
