    Default Practiced Spellcaster FEat

Could you think about adding this feat? It is a good one for multiclassed casters that shouldn't be that hard to code. Simply adds +4 caster level up to your character level in one class. It does not grant spells, only caster level.

Not quite. What the feat does is allow up to 4 other levels to count towards your caster level. For example, if the following builds would have the practice spellcaster (wizard) feat they would have caster levels of:

    2ftr/8wiz = CL 10
    4ftr/8wiz = CL 12
    6ftr/8wiz = CL 12

    Hmmm, so this would impact-

    A) Knock Spell (as CL is an important part of that)
    B) Resist Effects (10/20/30 and amount of damage resisted)
    C) Damage Dice (up to the maximum)

It really would not impact DC's correct? (Just trying to figure this out...)

    DCs would not be affected.

Duration of spells and the amount of damage Stoneskin can take are the other components which would also be affected.

Good point, could not quite see the whole picture.

    Duration of spells.

Hmmm. Seems like a pretty sweet Enhancement. Might be a tad over valued for the game, but multi-class spell casters could use some love.

Does/would it impact all spell casters, or just Sorc/Wiz?

The practiced spellcaster feat can be taken once for every spellcaster class you have. So if you were a cleric 7/ sorc 7 you could take the feats PS (Cleric) and PS (Sorcerer) and then cast spells of both types at the effective level of 11.

In a way, Rangers and Paladins already get Practiced Spellcaster. In DDO, they do not get the half caster level as they do in PnP. So, durations are already longer and effects are already at their highest level.

What Practiced Spellcaster really helps is deep multiclass characters. And can also make a 12Paly/2Sorc into a self buffing machine.

That does look like an interesting feat and would be useful to a lot of builds.

I currently have a wiz12/rog2 that I might just go rogue with the rest of the way, that would allow me to get my spells to cast a little longer and multiclassing won't be such a hit at higher levels.

Also help with overcoming SR, would really help MC casters who still use offensive spells in those situations.

Only if you're multiclass, and only then up to your total character level or +4 whichever is smaller. It gives true caster level though, so it would help with scroll casting, SR, durations, damage, healing etc. It does NOT however grant spells or spellpoints, which are based on class level not caster level.

It is a feat that ONLY is a benefit for multiclass characters. It basically takes a little of the sting out of multiclassing for spellcasters.

that feat means as long as they aint worried about getting the top two levels of spells, then they could effectively cast things like a max level caster, and still have 4 levels to mix it up and make them.... less squishie.
