Official PvP Night Thread

Mod 5 should be out Wednesday so we need to get this show on the road. Each team will have 5 members. One member from each team needs to be the team captain, and the captain must have a forum account in case the captain needs to post anything.

The classes the teams consist of is totally up to the team captain, but no more then 5 members per team as stated before. The captain and the team must also decide a team name. The captain must post the following:

1. That you are the team captain
2. Your team's name
3. Who is on your team

The PvP arena will be Capture the flag (here on known as CTF) Before each battle the teams must decide where they want to do capture the flag, the choices are Menechtarun and Quickfoot arena.

Rules:
Rules must be followed at all times to ensure that it is fair and that no one gets angry unless the team captains have agreed to changing a rule which must go threw me, this is suppose to be a blast, not a show off contest The rules are as follows.

1. No spawn killing. (Example, No putting firewalls where the players spawn at)
3. No wasting time (Example, you have the other teams flag and you go and hide where they can't find you so the timer runs out and you win)
4. KILL EVERYONE IN YOUR WAY (except your teammates of course)

Before each battle the teams can meet with each other or me to agree on changing any rules. Both captains on both teams must agree with these changes.

As soon as we get some captains to post their entries I will make a date and I will try to make it so that its best for everyone.

Also, this is my first in-game event so if this goes well and everyone has a blast I would love to come up with more ideas. Thx all for any that join, I appreciate it.

Sweet Rage, so will you be a captain? Also, Ozoro, are you joining Rage or you agreeing that you should get you boys? lol

The reason I don't want holds is because its kind of just either who rolls lowest or who gets their hold off first, it's more of a luck thing then skill.

Alchilito, if you have a team you want to bring let me know.

So then melee's wont be doing trip sunder and so on. Because the spells require the same amount of luck. No offence, but I suppect that you have **** poor saves and don't want to get locked down. There is as much "skill" in setting up a CC Caster as any other build.

I agree here. I was very interested in bringing in my Caster to join up Darkrage until I re-read the rules.
At this point I get the idea that the only skill in being a caster is spamming direct damage spells and hasting the melee.
Rather than exploiting an opponents poor build and weak saves.

Wrong, obviously you didn't read my other thread. In my other thread I said i have no problems with hold spells, but theres lots of people that say they are unfair. Plus, you need to read the thread again, it states, if you want to change the rules just have the other team captain agree and you can change the rules. No offense, but read the thread fully.

Rameses, I'm very confused on your statement bro. Are you agreeing with the person that you quoted, or agreeing with the rules I have put down? Cause you quoted someone and said you agreed, but then said its all about spamming damage spells. Did I read your post wrong? Cause I'm confused bro.

Hey milli id like to see more of an anything goes sorta thing - keep it dirty and simple - the only thing that should be disallowed is spawn killing. Thing is once you start disallowing one thing it snowballs.

Lemme see who i can get before you enter me down - Ramz has no PC and Aloz is a pikey wanka who plays on different timezones... Il have a ask around and let ya knw in this thread in next couple of days.

K everyone, it's everything goes then, you should have said something in my other thread Rage, no one was responding with their ideas so I just put down what I thought most people would agree on. The no wasting time rule I think should also stay, cause it's not fun if you can't find the other teams flag.
