Default Splash of paladin minimum requirements?

I'm playing an intimitank fighter build, and was going to splash 2 or 3 levels of paladin now that my feats are pretty much covered. The only problem is that when I go to get my first level of paladin the trainer says my charisma is too low and some of my abilities won't work. Does anyone have any info on what exactly this means?

Pretty much if I end up unable to use the auras or get the immunity to disease and fear, I'm not interested in going paladin at all. On the other hand, if it just means no lay on hands or turning, I couldn't care less.

Does anyone know for sure one way or the other?

charisma too low means turns and negative to saves at pally 2 you add you charisma modifier to your saves so if it's negative u get negative but even with a starting 6 cha you can wear a +4 item and come out equal the lay on hands also needs a pos cha to work but if u don't care about that stuff go ahead.Fear immunity and disease immunity have nothing to do with your charisma score or your wisdom score kust your having 3 lvls of pally.

Charisma is tied to 3 Paladin abilities - Divine Grace (Cha Mod to Saves), Lay on Hands, and Turn Undead. Less than 12 CHA means that these won't work (but that is current CHA, not base, so +CHA Items work).

Wisdom is tied to Paladin Spellcasting. 10 + Level of Spell (ie 11 Wis for Divine Favor) Again, items work for this.

But the base Aura, Divine Health (Disease Immunity), Fear Immunity, etc will all work regardless of your Wis or Cha score.
Dworkin, Benedict, Gerard, Vialle, Beldin... too many to list

A neg cha pally gets no smites, no save bonus and no lay on hands. They get everything else, unlike a caster.

This part is incorrect. Having a negative CHA does not mean you get a negative to your saves.
