    Default Deathmatch/Arena PvP - Please Fix.

    There is a thread in General Discussion about Deathmatch/Arena PvP options, I thought Id bring it to Development with the hope someone see this issue.

    Well, if anyone has ever tried to use this feature they'll know that its broke.

    The matchup can take 60 minutes + to complete.

    See, what I think happens is the system tries to match up everyone, severwide, and place them in teams, then into the arena. Well...its an awesome idea, but it doesnt work. Or at best works very, very badly.

    We ran a PvP night in our guild and when everyone was bored with me killing them we decided to try deathmatch/arena. So we went into two different groups, chose the same destination, and waited. And waited. And waited. And waited....well, after a very long wait two teams of three got into the Arean and it was FREAKIN AWESOME!

    Devs, can you tell us what the problem is with this feature? Can you tell us how to get it to work? Can you fix it? Its one of the most fun things Ive done in this game and if you fixed the time-delay issue Im positive alot more people would use it.

    It really is worth the time to look at Devs, its a wonderful addition to the game and guilds could have a blast. Personally, Id schedule an event at least once a week for our guild...

    PvP is a part of the game you hate or you love. Personally, I enjoy doing it before I log off for the night, although rarely. Deathmatch/Arena isn't even PvP if you ask me...Grease works there, cloudkill, firewall, solid fog....its just fun...

    Please Devs, tell us how to use this feature properly and fix it so that we dont have to wait an hour to zone in....give us an option to create parties inside the zone or something...let us zone in and go from there...something to stop the long wait times.

    I thought someone said there were some changes to this on Risia? Not that I know for sure, or care about PvP.

    Dunno, but the PvP part of the Weekly Dev Activities is blank, indicating nothing is changing.

    Mod 5 will include a easier way to set up arena fights.

    Convert to raid - will be convert to raid/pvp. Then you'll be able to asign players to the blue or red team and enter right away with no fooling around.

    Agreed I'm not a big PvP player but the 1 time I've got the death match to work it was very fun indeed

    If this is not fixed pls do so...also like I said pvp is not really my cup of tea, 6 guildies vs. 6 guildies sounds like So much fun!

    Default PvP Wait Times

    Can be a bit excessive. Namely 45 minutes with not a single match... I get impatient and dislike the Kiddy Pool known as the Tavern Brawl Area. I dislike the usage of some spells(as in PvP they seem a bit overpowered) but for the most part it's a-ok. Particularly, I dislike the fact we aren't using real strategy, setting the field up, etc... all it is is Enlarged Heightened Flesh to Stone...

    If a Cleric gets in there its Enlarged Quickened Destruction(spammed)

    All in all, so long as the casters don't use the "I don't care at all about PvP, I am only interested in winning in the cheapest, most ruthless way possible" spells, PvP is a lot of fun.

    Yeah, deathmatch is 10x's more fun than the stupid PVP pits.

    No strategy at all in PVP pits.

    Deathmatch takes a little co-ordination and thought.

    The huge wait for matches is terrible though.

    What we have found out is that if everyone tries to enter in parties it doesn't work as well. If everyone goes in singly, at the same time, you generally get a match. Sometimes people get left out though and it stinks.

    Hopefully in MOD 5 there will be an easier way to designate teams.

    Good news Bee! Shade is correct, I talked to a friend yesterday that is on risia a lot trying to get to/beat the new raid. He said that you can now put people on teams and choose either red or blue and you enter the instance. Now I REALLY can't wait for MOD 5......
