The weapons need to be slashing, khopesh and bastard swords are preferrable.
And be honest, you think one weapon for the Kardin's eye is a fair trade?
It is a very rare drop in a rare chest. I could get a smiting rapier as an end reward for any quest in gianthold. I honestly think this is the most coveted item in the game right now, so I will need at least several different items to compensate for it.

Harder to pull a w/p weapon, but anyone can make full use of a Kardin's Eye, the w/p takes a specialized build to make full use of.

wow u got 1 item and all of sudden got superiority complex? *oh i can just get any item u can dream of save for the kardin's eye from a end reward* just keep it and get your smiting bastard sword from your end reward, a smiting rapier is a Very nice weapon 15~20 crit, and any fighter can take a imp crit peirce feat and voila

Come on Youbei, w/p weapons and smiting weapons can come out of any high level chest and end reward. This item only comes out of ONE chest and is a rare drop in that chest, oh and the chest itself is rare to get??

Has nothing to do with superiority complex, it was just a streak of lucky rolls for me to get the thing. So excuse me for wanting to use it to get some beneficial loot for my up-and-coming toons. Since you are a founder and have probably a gazillion platinum you probably dont know what its like to only have a couple uber items. If anything this is an inferiority complex because I dont have a lot of stuff and have to compete in the game with the likes of you.

But... Most people whom have played long already realize like all static items that drop out of chests this will gradually decrease in rareness and value. Wounding of Puncturing Rapier/weapons are by far the most rare in game atm (perhaps wiz 7 is near it, or above) and they will not depreciate in value like a static chest item will in a few mods unless some serious changes are made.

So what your asking for now is not too ridiculous, anyone planning on staying with the game for a while will more then likely find it too much to ask for.

Note: I have 2 Eye's, I rotate them between toons quite a bit. But for a melee type, it's almost better going with a +4 resistance item (rings for me) and filling that slot for something a little more useful then an extra one resistance (Bloodstone, Jerky...). Endnote.

rare on this game is a state of luck... what's rare for one isn't for other that play/farm/run more times the same quest/chest.

and one item (weapon, wharever) for other can be a fair trade since you need the item offered and this make your char better...

you could keep with this item for your second or third or whatever(th) character. really. I found my 2 kardin's eyes after +/- 50 runs. some friends run with all chars all week and never found one (and nobody in runs pulled too).

The new mod will be dropping a few nicer items... personally i'd like to have these boots.. even tho the striding is only 15 per... usually have haste anyways...

And i just recently pulled a w/p rapier last week after playing this game for almost a year... have 2 Kardin's eyes 2 bloodstones... etc... don't know too many people who pulled 2 or more w/p rapiers..

Are you limited by rr? I have a smiting bastard sword (rr halfling), and 2 +6 str belts one rr human and one no rr, disruption (have to be slashing?...no need to crit right?), have a disruption light pick...I would trade all 3 for a khardin's eye.
