    Default Hey Devs: Turn Undead

Two quick suggestions to improve it:

    1) Allow people to take the Improved Turning feat more than once.
    2) Add 2 more ranks for Improved Turning in the Enhancement System. Maybe even make it a 1,2,3,4 progression instead of 2,4.

    Thanks for reading.

In all honesty, turning isn't too big of a challenge.

Though your suggestion would be good if you wanted to DESTROY undead.

It's hard for me to draw a line on this. I just don't think a cleric should be able to take down mobs like a wizard or fighter (actually better) with turn, but it is a very good crowd control useage.

The only thing that I might have trouble turning (and I am turn specced) would be something in PoP on elite.

Other then that, the madstone giants are cake pretty much. It's super good undead CC.

You and the OP both have very good points. I don't know if adding a Enhancement line for improving your turn power would unbalance things or not. Something for the DEVs to consider at least.

Maybe +1 to Turn Checks for each Enhancement Level.

    Tier I : +1 Turn Check : 2 AP
    Tier II : +1 Turn Check : 4 AP
    Tier III : +1 Turn Check : 6 AP

These would stack for a total of +3 for a total cost of 12 AP. Significant jump in power for a significant cost.

It's totally true, I have a reliable source. You better reroll now.

There is an enhancement line in place already, but it is a 2,4,6 progression and caps at +3. IMO, it'd be more balanced as a 1,2,3,4 progression and capping it at +4.

I also do not see any imbalance with allowing people to take imp turning more than once. If people want to burn 5 feats to destroy undead in deleras, they should be able to

I like turn undead. Save the undead. Save the world.

Turning undead, when it works is very powerful. And with the current enhancements/feats/itmes, I think my lvl 14 cleric is turning at lvl 20. Not bad at all......so I do not think any more neahcnements are necessary.

That said, I think I should be turning a whole lot better than I am! And I think it shouldn't take all of those enhancements to be able to turn something in this game.

My suggestion is that they just take a careful look at how DDO turning compares to PnP turning.....and try to make them as much alike as possible.

As it is, my turning at lvl 20 cleric seems to trun about 1/3 of th e giant ckellies in Madstone......I think this was on elite, but I'm not sure.
I just want to know that a a bargain basement average turner at least has a chance to turn undead in lvl apporpriate quests........say if he rolls a 10 he shuold turn the average mobs for his lvl. Something like that.
