Correct me if I am wrong here as I don't play clerics, but isn't Greater Potency 4 superior to Greater Devotion 4? I thought Potency x covered everything and more than Devotion x?

Correct. Greater Potency IV affects healing the same as Greater Devotion IV, plus has the benefit of increasing the damage of spells by 40%.

There are usually plenty of Greater potency items on the AH. IV's and V's go for very little Plat.

Strange. Was it always like this? I played DDO a year ago and always thought they were distinctly seperate, and that Potency was Arcane, Devotion was Healing. Knowing this though makes building a cleric a bit easier, since ive always looked strictly for devotion items for them...

Did they change it or was it like this last year to? Its just wierd cause i never hear clerics talking about thier potency items, just what level of devotion items they have.

Anyways im currently level 6, so a Greater/Superior Potency III/IV would be what im looking at.

Yes, this was changed in Mod4.

Look for Scarsgaard/Ninib/Sicily... I can pass you a sup pot3 for about 2k plat or a sup pot4 for 3k plat if those prices sound fair... let me know...
