    Default Release button

How many times have we all been in the middle of combat and gotten hit for too much damage while swinging and accidentally released?

It is a simple fix, add a confirm button to the release or a timer to change your mind.

If it happens in a quest you can't get back into, it just cost you loot and exp for that quest.

Could we please get a button or even just a minimize ability for this predicament?

    Never.

I'd say its due to my play style tho. Always in mouse look mode and never left clicking in the middle of the screen.

I guess if you like to play in cursor mode and put hotbars in the middle of the screen it might happen.

Has only happened to me a few times but happens to my husband frequently.

Don't think a confirmation would be too much to ask for.

I run in cursor mode, in a 16:9 resolution (at work, and I forget what it is set to), with only 3 or 4 toolbars at the middle at the bottom of my screen. It never fails that when the death box initially pops, it's right on top of my toolbars. (screenshot of UI)

I don't run into the issue often (death tends to be a bit less "unexpected" when it happens of late), but when it does happen it is a pain. I agree there should be confirm, or timer that can be interrupted, for the release button.

i don't do it often myself, but can't really come up with an occasion where i'd WANT to release so quickly i couldn't be bothered with a confirmation box.

Just seems weird that recall and finish out get a timer bar but not for the release on death

I don't get it... I've never once had this happen

i hate the idea of adding more buttons to confirm stuff, BUT i would support the ability to reposition where it pops up

I'm not big on a confirmation button for releasing. Too many confirmation boxes just desensitizes the players, and they have no meaning (people stop reading them and just click blindly). I have two other solutions that would work.

    1) Make the release box STAY where you put it, like all the other UI elements do. As it is now, no matter where you move it to, the next time you die, it reappears in it's default location. For many people (including me) that means it appears on top of your hot bars. If players can move it into the center of their screen and have it stay put, there is much less chance of an accidental release (although still possible, I suppose).

    2) Remove it altogether. Change the button under the quest objectives to act as a release button (it already acts as a recall/finished button, so it seems to me making it a release button as well should be a simple change)
The locus of my identity is totally exterior to me.

My biggest reason for this is i am constantly in mouse look and usually die when swinging at a mob.

When it is the mob at hand swinging to injure me, I expect it.

When it is a spell effect, such as disintigrate, from out of nowhere and i fail the save and get hit for say 150, i sometimes am clicking to swing and the button pops and is subsequently kicked.

I would like the to change the Release button to a

    Release the Hounds!!! Button

    Back on Subject...

For me it happened a couple of times.. And if it stayed where I wanted it i would never have the problem again.
