Some sort of state of the union?

I know that I am not alone in wanting the developers of the game to convey in some sort of state of the game address their vision of where the game is going. A quick search through General Discussion and Development Discussion turned up the following threads, all active in the last 10 days,all requesting some sort of long term vision statement from the developers.

Questions about the development cycle

The long term vision of the game is something which I believe many players would like to know about. We love this game, we love the friends that we have made in this game, and simply put we just want to know where it is headed. Not in the vague references of "down the road" or "a little bird told me" but in the same fashion that we received with the last state of the game address.

Folks have alluded to this occuring, but then silence. No response. For me this is the most maddening and disheartening occurance within the game.

We love the game. We just want to know where its headed.

Can we please schedule a state of the union, soon?

I wouldn't object to a little teaser treat from the Devs. Sorta what's on our plates and what we're thinking thread so to speak. Heck project leaders could speak up and say "hey this is what we are thinking about for "x" " and then ask for a little feedback about it. Not that they'd have to listen intently to our comments or opinions but htey'd get a feeling abot how things would be received by the community.

While I /sign this I think it's just one more thread being added to the /ignore list of the Devs.

Has anyone not noticed that there are tons of threads spanning many months asking... even BEGGING for an answer that is direct and to the point on a few specific topics. We get NOTHING. Hey Devs... nevermind... HEY TURBINE!!!!! We have, for some time now, been respectfully requesting answers from you. Please, PLEASE, PLEASE give us an answer before you alienate and annoy so much of your base that they decide to vanish off to the next best thing. Or is that perhaps what you're looking for. An excuse to shut this game down so you can focus all your resources on newer titles like LotRO and whatever else you have down the road.

Maby I am a little over zealous. Maby Im a little to emotional at times. These are not bad traits. These show that I have as much, if not more, desire to see this game succeed then the fraggin company who owns it.

Well this is the best thread I have seen so far asking for info on what is to come and certainly the most polite one. I would look for some info within the next 2 weeks on pretty much everything the OP listed.

Why do I say this? Who has been testing on Risia for module 5? Did you notice there is not a new splash screen showing any hints about what comes after module 5 like there has been for every module/update before this? I think they left it out intentionally and they have a big announcement for us very soon. They certainly have seen everyones posts asking for some hints so they know everyone is anxious for something to look forward to beyond mod 5 and update 5.1 ( whatever that will be ).

Beyond the fact that I will look a bit foolish if I am wrong about getting some info within 2 weeks I want to know just as much as the next player what is slated for the future and about when they think they will have it ready. So here is hoping

Haha, but isnt that kinda of like suing yourself?

Anyways, I'm all for the ideas well. However, as things "seem" to be, most of the mentioned items have been brought up by Turbine in the past (been awhile I agree), however the seem to keep getting pushed back as well. In turn that probably means that little to nothing has changed from the past expressions Turbine has made in this area, and probably little to no extra progress has been done on them either. That would tend to suggest a quietness on Turbine's part because they simply have nothing new to say, or just repeat what they said in the past.

I love that people are "looking ahead" to whatever comes next. Im not that deep. Id just like the simple answer of when Mod 5 is being released. It's insane that they don't know by this point if it'll be this month or not. I know they said it would be but lets be honest... it's already been pushed a few times. I propose that they do know but won't tell us because they hate us. I wish they'd still love us but they don't anymore. I think I may cry now.
