    Default Luck Bonuses should stack

I know DDO is not pen and paper, but it seems like it should try to stay true whenever is easily possible. So I for one think Luck bonuses should stack, like they do in pen and paper. As far as I know the only luck bonus items currently in the game are Stone of good luck, Rabbit gloves, and the Head of Good Fortune so this does not seem like a tough change to make.

It may seem like an inconsequential thing, but many DDO fans want the game to be as true to its heritage as possible. No surprise there.

A luck modifier represents good (or bad) fortune. Multiple luck bonuses on the same character or object do not stack. Only the highest luck bonus applies.

For future reference, it would be great if people actually learned the rules before calling for changes to DDO based on those "rules."

Interesting, my DMG refers to luck as an insight bonus and an exception to the normal same name bonus not stacking. I will try to research it a bit more.

Insight and Luck are separately defined modifier types, neither of which stack with themselves.

Perhaps you're looking at a 3.0 DMG? I never had one of those, just a PHB. The only bonuses that stack with themselves are circumstance, dodge, untyped, and IIRC a very small selection of wacky spells from expanded material like the spell compendium.

I don't recall this ever being the case. As far as I can remember, since 3.0 came out in 2000 and onto 3.5, only dodge and most circumstance (DM discretion thing) bonuses ever stack. And unnamed as well of course.

    Mine Doesn't..

Mine Says LUCK: A Luck Bonus is a general bonus the represents good fortune, such as from the Divine Favor spell. Pg 21

Latter on it states no Bonus of the same type stack except Dodge and some circumstance bonuses.

I wonder whats going to happen to people, once 4.0 comes out, and they use the online internet option to play, and the computer is doing part of the calculations, and they find out they have been playing wrong for years?

    He he he.

And the degradation of society continues. Maybe they'll have tools to make a min/maxed character for me, and another tool to order pizza for me.

D&D 5.0 will have something to chew the pizza for me, too
