    Angry wheres the solo content!

seriously where is it i see the solo option yet even quests my lvl do not render any xp O.o nothin nodda zip whats with this why do i have to go looking for a party when i only wana play for a little wile and besides that there are so few players how is any one sapose to play this game no wonder no one plays theres no way to get anywhere and even if you did get to the lvl cap then what stand around look cool O.o ? why not have the quest penilty reset after 1 day so we can get some xp and why not pop the lvl cap up higher dont matter if the content is there for that lvl or not at least we have something to work with and work for this game is very short lived even if you get partys in like a month ur max lvl no point in even playing any more pop the cap up to like 100 and let us have something to work up to who cares if we only get like 10xp a kill and need a billion theres still something there to gain and let us have some solo play geez play a quest 4 times and nope u cant have any more xp from this quest theres only so many quests at each lvl making it imposible to lvl up solo wonder why theres so few players well lets see after like a month its boring nothing left to gain and waiting around for partys all the time and all you realy wanted to do was play something for like 20-30mins or so and you get no where its not like in other games where ur like im sooo close to lvling ill give it a few more hours then u get there an your like what the hey ill try for another =D i realy like standing around watching the grass grow in a game its sooooo much fun woot and what about farming for money to buy the uber stuff O.o you kinda cant why cus chests stop having items in them after 2 runs or so not to mention there realy isent any uber items no crafting no nothing there nothing realy there to keep you wanting more and give you something to work for this game realy needs alot more to it if they want us to keep playing and have new players they need to do something and add these things unless they want this game to die out and lose all the money they have invested in to it they merged servers thats the first step in a game thats dieing when they are forced to merge servers ue to lack there of the player base i would like to see this game hit the big time its not a bad game i wana see the streets and taverns full of players you know like other games with constant shouting and players all over

Then I guess since this is not like other games, maybe you would be happier playing the 'other' games. The Box reads Dungeons and Dragons Online. This has aways been and always will be a group based game, whether its here online or at home with the friends and family.

Am sure you are a great person to play with and probably a great person outside of the MMO life. But taking your comments into account, I do not think this is a good game for you.
After fighting for years with community leaders whether or not Dungeons and Dragons is the work of Satan, I care very little how closely this game does or does not play like another game that you like. In fact, without D&D your other game would more than likely not exist. This is DDO. Play it, enjoy it or move along.

If you're bored, try soloing everything. Seriously, you'd be surprised how much actually CAN be soloed.

A fair amount of the game can be soloed. In fact, some of my greatest joys and challenges from this game was figuring out how to solo certain quests in this game. Granted, it does take quite a bit of knowledge of the mechanics and a character that is well suited to being self-sustained and is capable of large amounts of damage in most cases, but it is still very doable.

Of course, at its core this is a grouping game and we can never deny that. Also, along the core of Dungeons and Dragons, you will find yourself losing interest if you play it like most other online games are played (eating content at a rapid pace to keep yourself constantly progressing). DDO is a game where you either take it in small doses (like most weekly tabletop groups do) or play outside the box (static groups with set rules, roleplay groups, 4 people groups, solo challenges, permadeath, use unlikely character builds, play the game drunk... well, I don't completely endorse that one , etc.). These options will get you much more mileage out of DDO because it isn't the "same ol' thing" you did a month ago.

Games will change over time, thats a given. We always need new things to do while we game. However, gamers may need to realize they need to change how they play as well to make it a fulfilling pastime. But, if you burnout like some of us power gamers do (and it is easy to do in DDO), DDO will be waiting for you when you get back (or some other community is sure to be glad to have you if you've moved on).

    1. Been playing since this game began and have yet to max a character. Its called a life outside the confines of a computer screen.

    2. See above reply. Dissatisfied = move along. Leave these boards to those of us who do enjoy the game.

Yet you can comment on the current state of the game. My bad, I thought you would actually have to play to make an educated comment like yours.

You get no less experience playing solo than playing in a party, it's just more challenging (and certain few quests may be impossible depending on your class.

Like Ghoste said, nearly every quest in-game is solo content.

This is DDO, not WoW, UO, EQ, EQII, Kal Online, Guild Wars, Asheron's Call, DAoC and on and on and on.

Heaven forbid a game be different from the cookie cutter games you are obviously enthralled with playing.

But what you are telling us, is your will pay your monthly fees for your 5 minutes a day to dog out a game that your uber-educated self says is dieing. Guess who is winning that little tug of war?

And everyone did you know if you jump off a ledge with the ham in your hand and a shortbow +1.5 in your other hand you will land in the Land of little people and have to search for the wizard to get you home again. All the while a big evil mummy is chasing you and some crazy almost black guy singing a song with undead dancing with him.

come on, lets deal in reality.

And then I died and was forced into the almost black guys army of dancing undead where I was forced to dance along side him for 3 days, no chance for a ticket submission as the button gets auto greyed if you die in this realm. If you kill the mummy you get a jelly bean of regeneration which allows you vampiric regeneration if you fight weaponless.

Do not believe me? I still have the, well I cannot find it right now, but sure I still have something to try to make you believe me although I never will be able to produce it.
