Nah, I know what is right. You go ahead and do that, you are the one trying to remove their foot from their mouth. Its on you to provide us with facts that you are correct.

Otherwise the rest of us will go on knowing what you will soon find out.

There is a very specific reason that level caps have been raised by even numbers: spells.

Spells are what take up most of the time for coding to get things ready for the next level cap raise. Everything else other than that is minor in comparison. And don't take my word for it, the devs said as much in the Feb 2007 dev chat when explaining why druids would take somuch longer than half orcs and monks to implement.

So with that in mind, look again at what you are saying about the level caps. Why would Turbine raise is from 10 to 11, giving access to lvl 6 spells, but not raise it to lvl 12 which didn't involve coding a bunch of new spells. I dont know how many feats, if any, off the top of my head you can get at lvl 12 but not at 11, so definitely not much coding there either. Other than that, follow same old formula for hp, bab, and saves.

Yet you "know" it was 11 at some point. I'm not going on a wild goose hunt for that magical post you'retalking about when it was supposedly raised to 11. Feel free to find it yourself though, and post a link for us when you do.

    Nonsense...

    /sighs at the suicidal fleshling.

What will happen when the level cap is raised?

The action point tokens will go away when you level up, just like normal action points. So, when the level cap goes up, spend your remaining action point token to rearrange your benefits, then simply gain 1XP and talk to a trainer to get to level 11.

When the cap goes up, LOL. Does not say what it is going up too.

Which is exactly what people did when the cap was raised from 10 to 12. They went through level 11 first. And then when the cap was raised to 14, all those people who were previously capped at level 12 got that 1 xp point and then levelled up to...

    wait for it....

    it's coming....

LEVEL 13!!!! YAY!!! Then the got some more xp and got up to the actual cap of level 14.

And FYI, the level cap was not raised above 10 anywhere near that date. That was the dev discussing a hypothetical situation. A hypothetical situation in which he didnt even say what the new level cap would be. Of course you would be able to goto lvl 11 when the cap gets raised. If the cap were raised to 20, you could still level up from lvl 10 to 11.

It's like talking to a...well, a brick wall.

Seriously though, if you're not playing the game, what are you even doing here? Certainly not providing any useful information to those who do.

Is cool you don't as we really didn't either once your BS was exposed. Just was nice to be able to debunk a rumor starter and save other people headaches researching.

Besides it made my night here at work go just a touch faster. So see, you did serve some purpose.

With punctuation, comes comprehension. Or some such drivel as that.. BUT as far as the post you are quoting, it was not talking about a level cap at all. What they were talking about was bonus action points. Here is what it said:

The action point tokens will go away when you level up, just like normal action points. So, when the level cap goes up, spend your remaining action point token to rearrange your benefits, then simply gain 1XP and talk to a trainer to get to level 11.

It does not mention a level cap at all. The entire post was about new enhancements.

What the hell Brickwall. Try being a bit more considerate of others. Some people have a gargantuan hang-over and you go around posting s**t like that? Man my eyes almost started bleeding after reading your post..

There is a MAXIMUM XP debt cap that you can not exceed no matter how many times you die and as stated you never actually lose the level if you get debt that drops your XP total below the level mark, you just can't advance your level until the debt is gone.

As has been pointed out by everyone else in this thread the level cap has always been an EVEN number and your link was to WDA notes concerning module 2 and the way action points were being done then for the capped players. The actual level cap was raised to 12.4and 1 XP point below 13.

I have been playing this game since the head start and I have exactly one character I play and he is just L12 now and I have 47 quests I have never done even on normal and no quests where I have reached the XP cap at any difficulty. You would have to run a quest 10 or more times to max out the XP where you get nothing or you have to be running quests 6 levels below your current level.

They have added 4 outdoor areas specifically set up with encounters you can play through solo or with 1 or 2 other players and the slayer quests keep those areas viable for quite some time as the count keeps going up to 500 or more mobs killed and the XP gets exponentially larger each time. They have also added this same new outdoor tech to Tangleroot Gorge, Sorrowdusk Isle, The Desert and to the paths you take in the Water Works to get to the actual quest entrances so there is plenty to do for solo stuff just like the crappy, random spawn, boring kill stuff type of XP advancement you get in WoW or EQ or any other MMO.

Chests give you loot appropriate to the level of the quest 10 times before you get the ransack message and you have to leave the chest alone for 7 days to reset the ransack timer.

Oh and since there are enough people on each night to cause 2 - 3 instances in the Harbor, Market and the new level cap area in Giant Hold there are certainly plenty of people to form groups with.

No the OP sounds to me like someone who never knew what the game was about when he was originally here and someone who has certainly not actually checked out the changes to the game since he left over 12 months ago.

I can solo a character up to 5th level in a week or so of intermittent solo play..

Run the harbor stuff up from solo to elite, once per difficulty
Run cerulean hills till you have 200+ dead and all the explorer sites done
Then use searing heights until you have all the explorer sites done
    solo waterworks
solo missing in action and sunken sewer
solo the depths quests and the catacombs...

easier if you are melee build. Enchanters should find it easy too. Higher level stuff sure is more fun for me in a group... join a PUG, meet some people, make friends...

use variety, not repetition, and you will profit...
