CREATE button...improvement?

So...ok...I have too many characters and my create button is greyed out on my home server...

My bad!

But...It would be nice...

If when I hover my mouse curser over it...a tool tip would pop up telling me I have too many characters and how many I would have to delete to create a new one.

That way, I could make an informed decision to delete or not to delete?

Yea or nay?

I'm confident in my abillities of addition and subtraction. Which in the character roster screen, require me only to add or subtract from a total number of 8 playable characters.

Perhaps I'm a superhero, having such amazing powers, but I don't think I need a tool-tip calculator.

I'm pretty sure we will all get 9 characters by module 5 (assuming you got at least one char with 1750 favor). Should be enough information to figure out if/what to delete.

/hypotheticalquestioning on

1.) So mod 5 goes live and in expectation of it you delete down to 8 so you will have one free spot left over for a brand new reroll...

only you forgot to get 1750 favor...

2.) Or, you managed to accidentally win extra slots due to a bug and you cant count above 7 because you only have 8 fingers and you need to reserve one to count with...

3.) Say mod 5 goes live and we find out that the 9 slots was planned but due to a bug they decided to delay it till next mod...6...

been playing my tanks too much and I need everything color coded...
(green and red are for the christmas trolls and dark grey sticks are for oozes...white for undead...makes sense)

...and too many newbies are asking on the forums how to fix the bug where they don't have 9 characters yet and they need to know how to bug report it...

...come to think of it, some veterans have posted looking for their 9th slot as well...

Once again the DDO forums have had me laughing and spewing Dr. Pepper over my work top... sigh

My boss told me no more drinks at my desk LOL

Oh and on the original question, I myself have found some of this terribly confusing...

I can count... I think... it's just that sometimes DDO numbers are a bit fuzzy.

Oh, I'm not against the feature.
It just seemed, by your OP, that you were wondering how many characters you would need to delete in order to create more. So I gave you a way to know (I'm confident enough you have 1750 favor). If you already knew the answer... ignore my post
