You've got the wrong idea!

POV as an abbreviation for Point-of-view is rather old, and has been common for at least a few decades in film and TV production, used with respect to notes about camera positioning. As forum abbreviations go, this one seems fairly innocuous, and nowhere near as obnoxious as some of the over-condensed lingo I've seen kicking around.

Everyone's opinion is from thier own point of view. Some folks have a brauder or more informed view than others. And nothing about "fun" is entirely objective.

So we debate and the like. Nothing wrong with that. If everyone simply accepted everyones opinion withouth challenge or question... all our ideas would suck. If you think its worth fighting for.. fight for it. Don't take it personaly if someone challenges you or your idea. Just defend it if you care to or let it stand on its own merrits agaisnt its detractors.

For every poster there are many readers who will judge for themselves who is right. Personaly I like debating so I often post with the idea of challenging ideas that they might be better understood on both sides.

The only think I think we should avoid is calling people names since it doesn't do much. Challenge their ideas but don't discount them as people. Everyone has some wisdom if you listen to them.
