Gameplay issue

Any help is greatly appreciated. I recently bought a new computer with Vista. The specs are:
Intel Quad CPU @ 2.40 GHz
3.0 GB RAM
Nvidia GeForce 7600 GS card (With the most up to date drivers)
The UAC has been turned off also.
Game ran fine first few hours now suddenly get 2-3 second lag spikes every 10-15 seconds. I restarted the game twice with no success. It has been about a 12 hour period now so I doubt it is the server. If anyone has experienced this and has a fix I thank you now.

You need to run a Tracert and to do this you...


click start and then in the search field type "CMD"

A window will open up and in that window type "Tracert gls.ddo.com"

you will see a series of numbers and connections nodes

If you see any * you could have a problem with anything inbetween your computer and DDO, that includes any firewall issues and router issues.

If you have a wireless conection or if you are using a router, try and bypass your router and connect your computer directly to the modem and then run another Tracert, to see if it improves.
