    Default Druid question

When druids come out, will there be more non-metal armors brought out? Like dragonhide plate? Its a non-metal substitute for full plate so druids can wear it. also, what about the WF Body's, as mithral and adamantine would interfere withe their abilities.

Chances are, though this is only speculation... either the rules will be relaxed for the MMO, or a level one enhancement will be provided that the WF Druid may take to regain their casting abilities.

Chances are, however, that the rules will be relaxed.

Yeah, I doubt it. But since druids are a long way off, no need to worry about it.

WF Druids can have Minthrail Plating and it won't affect their druidic casting abilities. Adamantine will affect it, however. I would love to see more "artifact" hides and leathers and such. It would be cool to see those oft cast aside armors get some love out there.

They have already said that they are looking at next year to release druids.

They already have Darkleaf armor. But in Wild Shape Druids don't get the armor bonus from armor worn unless the form could normally wear armor. Since this excludes every shape but arguably the Dire Ape, until you get the spell Shapechange, I wouldn't worry about armor for the Druid. AC is pretty much useless at high level anyway, so again I wouldn't worry about armor. As for WF, Druids are a feat starved class, so taking a body wouldn't be the best idea.

Oh yeah, and Druids are a long way off. No need to worry about them now.

And I'm still not sold that Turbine can make a playable Druid class relative to the pnp version. I just don't see them doing Wild Shape or Summon Nature's Ally justice. There is almost no way the Animal Companion would be the amazing class feature it is in pnp as well. In other words, as much as I love Druids in pnp, I'd actually rather them not be implemented, as three aspects of thier amazing versatility will be broken. I'd rather them add options to existing classes and races, as well as add other races and classes that would be playable.

I am right there with you. Two classes that don't translate to video game well are Ranger and Druid. Animal companions and shapechanging, tracking usually becomes useless, things like that. They always try to compensate the ranger by making TWF and Bow available to them in the video games. With the druid, I would not really want them around either unless certain feats get added with them (like the feat that allows casting when Wild Shaping).

Toss in a Scout, of Psion, or Psi-warrior. Maybe a Warlock (though I hate them) or the much needed prestige classes. But really, Druid is a long way off and I would not expect to see it unless Polymorph or Change Self suddenly creep into the available spells. Those show up and then you can expect Druid to be not to far off.
