Flame #1. Assumed immaturity of others without any logical basis.
Then I'm glad to know that if you actually read through others' responses to your threads and see what they have to say, you'll be enjoying yourself.
Flame #2. Hmmm... last I heard debate was a serious discussion of the logical benefits/drawbacks of different proposals.
Ya know what? This makes me think that the only posts in this thread you're reading are your own...
Flame #3. I'm glad that you're comfortable when you go to sleep at night because you know that I'm laughing at the absolutely imbecilic suggestions that you've made recently.

IMHO in times of development mistakes, the Devs should tell us to suck it up and live with it. I don't ask for anything from them other than to keep the game up and running.
Is it just me, or are these forums over-run with absolutely terrible development ideas since, oh, about 08-19-2007?
Just like dragonshards could be catered to level (as seen in the last release of them) so too XP Pots could be.
Further, "spending resources" on the creation of a single potion doesn't seem too much of an 'expenditure'. I think they can handle it. Further, if they give out free items en masse, chances are they thought ahead that maybe.. just maybe... they would want to give oru other free items en masse.
You do realize there are tomes that increase your XP and are consumed in the process? They're part of the game structure already. In fact these Tomes as I recall give you enough Xp to level up halfway to the next level no less. As in you level, and then gain enough XP to be halfway to the next one.
The major loss in power levelling is the LOOT!
So many players at lvl14 do not have heavy fort, bane weapons, any decent clickies...
Most of this stuff is the offset to the 'grind' of levelling - you find useful stuff in chests and as end rewards.
I got sniffed at for taking the visor over the bracers (TR rewards) with my lvl4 WF fighter. What do I need +3 dex for? The visor will have pride of place on my toolbar until he is capped.
How many players don't even have a lesser restore clickie?
How about expeditious retreat or haste?
Nope, easier to mooch off the cleric.
Same goes for pots - I get so annoyed when melees leave pots from broken crates, then ask for resists or heals... sigh

Well I can see the point. But most Resist Pots are 10 pointers.. not really all that useful.
On other matters though... Your dead on, be somewhat self reliant, either that or hand the cleric a wand or two and some Mnemonic potions if your not gonna stock some generic stuff!
certain people have been asking for feat and full character respects for a while now. I think the many dragonshards they have given out (because this is not the 1st time) go a long way toward full filling that request.
Free mana for healing spells /disagree
Free xp in a bottle /disagree
but Im a little old-school and afraid to think outside the box sometimes, but maybe their is a Dev out there who agrees with you on these two ideas, is writting them down and will pitch it to his lead developer tomorrow.
Hey, you never know...crazier things have happened.
/points at the strange but tasty looking ham thats been sitting in a dungeon for who knows how long
Just what we need an experience potion so the farmers can dupe the heck out of them lol Ever see those stacks of 99 mana potions? Wonder where they come from?

Point of interest, some people get by without Bane weapons by having the proper weapons to bypass DR.
The only two Greater Banes I have are an Adamantine Greater Construct Bane Greatsword and Greater Aberration Bane Falchion. Everything else gets hit with one of the following: Paralyzer, Cloudburst, Sword of Shadows, or other specialty weapons as the quest calls for (Vorpal for Vampire in POPE, Disruptor for all undead that can be Disrupted, clubs for Rusties, etc).
So, no, not everyone has a high assortment of banes. I don't see the need for them in most instances.
