    Default Downtime

Downtimes happen. I accept that. It is my day off. The two sometimes happen on the same day. I accept that. There is plenty to do around the house, I can easily keep myself busy today.

Today's "scheduled" downtime was first announced to us via an in game broadcast message one hour ahead of time. The first acknowledgement of this came on the login screen after the servers went down. Here we are twenty minutes after the downtime started, and there is still nothing on any of the forums.

I don't want a dragonshard, or a pro-rated refund, or a +1 loot weekend. Just this once, I'd like someone from Turbine to say "I'm sorry, we screwed this one up." If the downtime wasn't "scheduled" and was an emergency, tell us that calling it scheduled was an easy, honest mistake. If it was scheduled, let us know that someone dropped the ball in not telling us about it. I'm not looking for heads to roll, how about an honest apology, and not a "Turbine apologizes for the inconvenience and thanks you for your patience."

I would truly be overjoyed with that small effort.

Patience already posted her own personal apology. And it was posted before your request.
