But seriously, I wouldn't be half surprised if the developers at Turbine consider /death at any time except for incapacitated as an exploit. Not a bannable or punishable exploit, but an exploit that needed to be looked at.
Plus this change puts a stop to a couple major exploits that have not been mentioned. /claps
Yeah, I think /death was their answer to /stuck in most other games. People just found creative ways to use it, probably even more so than if they had properly implemented a /stuck command.
I'm don't know specifically what these are, but I can well imagine what can be done. The question is if this will truely fix it or if it will still be circumventable (e.g. still being able to get to restless isle quests due to puddings killing you).
