Any Way Around Vicious?

So who doesn't have a vicous weapon??? I mean there is NOTHING worse then getting an uber weapon with vicous part of the scenerio. So anyone figure out how to get around it yet? jerky maybe frm the queen?

My melees use vicious BUT only on mobs with DR. If you are doing yellow zeros as your first number, you will not take damage.

For example, fighting Arach's knight at end of VON5 I use a vicious light pick of greater construct bane. Because he has massive DR I take no damage and the bane damage (which is what I really want to apply) comes up red numbers.

Hell, I've used this wep all the way thru VON5 and nobody even noticed me taking extra damage... but the guy I used DOES have 550hp...

you can mitigate some of the viscous damage with a bodyfeeder weapon in the offhand ...

True, however, Vicious is every hit, bodyfeeder (last I checked) is chance on hit.

To answer your question, there is no way to prevent the damage from vicious. Not stoneskin, not wearing addy armor or using an addy shield or using the Golden Greaves - nothing. That said, there are ways to work around it, such as what has been posted here. The jerky regen rate isn't really fast enough to keep up with the damage you'll take from a vicious weapon.

Ultimately, I just sell any weapons with vicious on them. Not worth my time.

Bu L14 a Melee should be running with a Minimum of 200 Hit points Most likely 300+. Thats a whole lot of Swings before any noticleble damage occurs.

DIvine Healing works very well though.

A Body Feeder Kukri inthe offhand with IC:Slash Goes off quite a bit. Its On Crit.. Not "Chance"

I probobly should NOT be rationalizing Vicious...... I've Picked up some awesome weapons for cheap....

Only really pull it out for kardin though...
