When is Mod 5?

As you've seen on the splash screen, it's set for September. I don't think an exact date has been announced, but given Turbines history, I'd say mid to late Sept.

And it better be **** good! Waiting for the past 4 months for new content and getting flimsy excuses as to why they haven't released new content better mean this new mod better be awesome.

I'm putting in a guess for the third week of September ....

... and I hope to heck that Turbine has two content packed mini releases between Mods 5 and 6. Three new quests over a five month break just doesn't cut it. Heck, save new races and classes until next fall if you can crank out an average of six new quests a month for us ....

IS it just me, or have you noticed the cashiers look at you funny when you order a double quarter pounder with cheese meal, super sized and a couple of Apple pies, then order a Diet Coke to go with it?

Why can't Turbine stick to the schedule they kept for the previous year? An update or new mod every month. They had no problem doin that from April 2006 till June 2007. Now we get +1 loot weekends and Dragonshards when they tell us that they couldn't release any new content because they need to do server maintenence or server merges. Neither of those require any creation and code writing for new quests or level cap increases.

You know better than to use logic in a situation like this.

If you've ever drank any diet soda for a considerable amount of time, when you drink the regular soda, it just doesn't taste good any more.

I'm the same way. I drank diet for a while and when I went back the the regular stuff, it just tasted to sweet. I still drink diet for no reason.

MOD5 is pushed to September MOD6 will definitely not come this year. We most likely will not get content updates in between. They will tell us that since they are so far behind, they would rather just skip another content module and work directly on MOD6. They may push out a bugfix release (MOD5 will definitely need it) in between 5 and 6 but don't expect anything else.

I have also bookmarked this post so that I can tell all you fans "I told you so" when it happens.

If Turbine pulls another AC2 with DDO I will never invest time into another title from them again...

This community is awesome and works hard to present to Turbine passion and dedication to a great genre. We have waited , paid our dues and spent enough time rehashing old content and making multiple chars up to 14 for long enough.

I ask you Turbine please put some passion into this you are already making enough cash flow to cover it. Make this everything it can be. There is decades of content to back it up and the player base. Wake up.
