    Default Greater Stability

We really need to see a higher version of stability. Right now, it's pretty awesome for twinking low level characters. (+2 AC and saves at 1st level... woot!) But pretty much after 7th level, it isn't really worth having so much. As we can get +5 deflection and resistance bonuses, higher versions are really needed to keep stability relevant.

    -or-

Instead of seeing different versions of stability, maybe it could scale depending on the level of an item. A level 13 item of stability could have a +5 bonus, while a level 1 item might only have a +1 bonus...

That would be really nice. I've never seen the stability effect on items before,I wonder if it's something Turbine came up with.

    Default worthless

We were having a discussion on the most worthless mods you can get on an item. Stability after level 7 or so is worthless. Now I think it ranks better then Sacred. Also in the discussion is Arcane on docents and those annoying 30 second clickies for arcane boosts. What arcane is not going to carry around potency or at least the solid version of the elemental damage. The jury is still out on the uses of the new ones such as everbright or blueshine. I think it is there way of ticking us off more when we get our end reward for giant hold. You get +1 **** full platemail of more ****(level 12 armor worth 42k gold). Who is ever going to jump up and down because now they have lesser ice guard on their armor? I sometimes wonder about the meeting room where these ideas were passed around?

Are stability items present just to help out at low levels? I'd hope for more relevance from them as I level - not just from scaling the bonus.

I'll offer they could branch into upscaled versions +3, +4... but also have a line that does "something" (constructive idea: take a hit, receive healing for the amount of the hit. Or, first hit triggers Barkskin, Stoneskin, Could be first hit, roll 20 on d20)

Hmm, IF we see Druids, how many will pick True Neutral?

Barbarian Tanks can make great use of ice guard and what not... helps them maintain aggro and do damage in the process.

    1. My WF Fighter who took a splash of Wizard for self-healing will happily take Arcane Docents off your hands for a small disposal fee if you believe them to be a problem. Swapping into an Arcane docent, buffing, and then swapping back takes only a moment.

    2. Everbright is fantastic. Forget finding a Muckbane. +1 Shock Greatclub of Everbright does about the same thing. Remember all those quests where Ooze, Slimes, Puddings, and such are mixed in with other mobs? Hate swapping between Muckbane and "real" weapons or the high repair bills and weapon damage you get otherwise? Pick up a +x Holy of Everbright weapon and go to town. Who cares if you split the slimy things when you don't take damage from them.

Blueshine I'm not so sure of. I've never lost a piece of armor to a Rust Monster or Ooze(although I've cursed a bit while repairing it. Then again if I see some +5 Full Plate with Blueshine on it, I might just pick it up.

+5 +5 too high, shouldnt hve the highest bonus's possible in one suffix. I would vote either +4 deflection +4 resistance , or change the regular stability effect to become a Profane bonus, so it stacks with most everything. Because lets face it, if you choose true neutral, you are walking a much harder path then most for the first 7-8 levels.

    Shock weapons split some oozes.

Actually, I'm not sure oozes split, but slimes and puddings do. I think shock damage can split the puddings. Even so I'm not so concerned about splitting them with an Everbright weapon. the problem with splitting them in the past is you almost get one dead and then it splits and you end up starting over. When you have a demon beating on you it stinks to beat down 2+ oozes with muckbane before you can switch to a weapon that can hurt the Render. With an Everbright weapon you hopefully have something that can do SOME damage to the other mobs as well as the oozes and not get damaged by the oozes.

This idea would be super dooper for Borr. He feels left behind sometimes as TN.

Why? You have items that are incredible that other alignments get. What's wrong with giving the highest bonuses for being TN?

Also, if stability was profane, it'd be fine the way it is. I'd like that, but it won't happen.

I think blueshine is a bit unneeded too. But I did see a suit of +5 Blueshine Mithral FP drop once.

I think improved/greater stability at just +3/+4 would be really nice. The ability to get +4 to two different things (Saves and AC) on one item is pretty good, you wouldn't necessarily need resistance and protection items then.

It might be nice but, IMO, to be worthwhile the bonuses would have to be something besides deflection and resistance.
