Default XP Debt should be able to be Bought-out

I think that XP debt should be able to be bought out. I think that there should be a penalty for it, it should be expensive, but since more adeventure areas are going to slayer areas, there should be another easy waty to rid oneself of XP debt.

Yep... XP debt is reduced by half every 2 days.

If I rack up huge debt on one guy, I just switch to an alt for a couple days... then I'm getting "double" XP :-)
    Code:
Sil - Human Paladin 14 Lava Divers Tad - Drow Wizard 14
     Semolina - Elf Rog 13/Ftr 1 on Rava - Drow Sorceror 7
Riddikulus - Human Cleric 14 Khyber Clamor - Warforged Barb 7

    Ummm. No. Nope. Never. Ever.

There is no "God Mode" in this game. What you suggest would remove what little fear folks have about death. To be honest when I die I am far more concerned about gear than XP.

    /sarcasm on

Hey wait a minute. On second thought I love the idea. Not only could I twink out my alts with gear, tomes, etc, but if they had a bad run I could twink them out of their death penalty? Awesome. Fantastic.

    /sarcasm off

They have already given us death penalty reduction over time. And explorer areas to work off debt. And POP to work off debt.

Sorry I don't think it would be good for the game to have people throw plat at their xp debt and make it go away.

Oh and there is a way to buy off xp debt that can be pretty expensive. Go grab some better gear, a stack of healing pots and run a quest or two. That makes debt go away pretty quickly.

And of course as others have said, play smart and die less.

You know, you should be glad you only rack up a little XP debt.

Sometime, when you're bored or frustrated that your debt isn't going away fast enough, take a look at a player's handbook.

I'm sure you'll love how you fare when you get resurrected there.

This game is supposed to play like PnP. I'm going to pre-emptively insert earplugs because if that is implemented, the whining will be louder than a GE-T700-701C turboshaft engine spooling up.

Be glad you have it so good.

xp debt is just to easy to get rid off atm.

xp falls of trees in this game. and as has being said earlier play smarter. stop zerging and use some tactics. I very rarely die and if i do then that debt is cancelled by quest completion.

However if its a death in a loot run quest i get no xp off well thats different. But really once your capped who cares about xp debt.

Once the lvl capp increase is announced i'll just stop playing my main for a few days the debt will go and i'l be ok to lvl up when the capp is increased.

Status quo is ok atm, no change is needed.

    XP debt should be doubled.

Death is meaningless in the game the way it is now.

I disagree with this as well.

It would be an opportunity for those who buy plat from farmers to have even a greater advantage.

I think the differnce there was that the quests did not generate the same INSANE amount of XP that gianthold does. I was pretty careful with most of my high level characters and a 20 minute POP run still generates about 10-14k for them.

Debt, what is this debt. We had a lever monkey on one of our reaver runs rack me up a debt of 30k on my tank. An hour later after three pop runs I was back at cap.

You're kidding right? XP death is trivial now, its all but meaningless. Auto regen while not playing. Low death penalty. Lots of high XP quests. My chars sometimes have 30+K XP debt from solo looting. Its no big deal leave it alone it regens.
