If you're a dual wielder and you have a kickarse main hand weapon, I'd use that offhand in a second. 10% melee haste? Hell yeah!

Agreed! Not all of us have melee alacrity items. As an offhand weapon for the right build, that could be an awesome weapon.

I am curious have you tried it on a variety of different mobs? how well does it work against giants? concord clerics/wizards? ogres, trolls, relic of the soverign past death priests/guards etc. Does it render these mobs helpless really fast? give us some idea of its capabilities? Maldini suggested that it would be a decent weapon in pvp, but what about in the field?

Who needs melee alacrity though. Just pop a haste potion. Done.

I get 20% melee alacrity from Madstone Rage, but it doesn't stack with Haste. So it's only a perk for when I'm soloing or with stingy casters. Or, I'm out of pots
