Whirlwind works like Cleave and Great Cleave. You get 1 attack on the mobs in the appropriate degree arc with the weapon you have in your primary hand only. Your off-hand weapon won't register an attack.
I've heard people say that you get two attacks when TWFing. I've also heard people say you only get one when TWFing. Honestly, I'm confused too. Guess the best bet is to just to test it yourself.
Drakion, Leader of the Lightbringers - Argonnessen - A Founding Guild
Currently Leveling: Drakyon the Sinner - Human Cleric
You should only be getting one attack on the Whirlwind. It's still worth it if you can handle the agro with your TWF character, though.
I can confirm *(from personal experience) that whirlwind and TWF do not 'stack'.
BTW: If it did, it would be too broken
well .. i guess my next question is .. should it.. cause i mean if both arms are outstretched to counterbalance then the secondary weapon should be right in the face of whatever your hittin.. sure they may step back from your assault but not always.. low percentage like two handed swings..? maybe.. who knows..
even with a shield it should get a bash attack.. ?!?
There's your answer. Only one attack. They should fix the animation though, as it shows the character with both weapons outstretchedOriginally Posted by SRD
