    Default wounding of puncturing

    Hello all:

I have been playing this game from the get go and love it. I am not so into it that i know all the technical and itriquite details of this game. Although I might enjoy it more if i did. My question is this......Why is everyone looking for wounding of puncturing weapons especially in a rapier what makes this weapon so valuable?? Thank you all for any responses to this thread.

It's a superb weapon for a Dex based rogue or ranger. Rapiers are favored, because they have the highest crit range of all finessible piercing weapons and puncturing only works on a crit. ( which is almost always picked by finessers, because most finessible weapons are piercing ). That weapon will drop most mobs faster than any DPS weapon on a low Str character. One point of con damage + 1d6 extra on a crit is alot more effective than DPS on a mob that has 20 Con and 450+ HPs if you are only doing 20-30 damage a hit, cause zero con=death too.

Dude, wounding of puncturing is so powerful, maybe over powerful.

The only WoP item Ive ever owned was a shortbow, which I traded here for a shortsword. I used the eshortbow for a little while on my barbarian. While raged the crit range was awesome. But man, that thing dropped the gnolls in the desert so fast.

It is a killer weapon thats for sure. If you could dual wield them on a Crit Raging II barbarian FUNFUNFUN!

Oh and as a side note, I traded that shortbow for a shortsword and gave the sword to a guildie. We then ran the Titan raid, two shortswords dropped and no-one wanted them but the guildie I gave the WoP shortsword to. So we're all bummed, but him, and we are running around the marketplace, he's showing off his two Titan swords and goes to switch out to his WoP sword...and it was gone. Disappeared. He went from the Forge to the stairs at the tower and it was gone. GM's response - Nothing we can do. He had that shortsword for all of an hour...poor guy. And I was so happy Id got him one too...such a bummer.

So if anyone has a WoP item, dagger, shortsword, bow, let me know and I'll try trade you for it to replace his lost one.

    Default No WoP, but WoE

I don't have a Wounding of Puncturing, but I do have a Wounding of Enfeebling Rapier (I think it's Elf/Drow RR) if anyone is interested.
