Default Two Trinket issues that bug me.

    Okay, Number One.
Why aren't there more randomized trinkets? I believe it's been brought up before, I just wanted to beat the horse-corpse a bit more. I mean, every other slot has tons of purposes. My Fighter, though, hasn't ditched his +1 protection trinket since he found it in STK. I just don't get why there can't be non-named trinkets that affect a stat or two. Maybe add wisdom modifiers to certain trinkets, or int. It's always good to get variety. Just don't give.. say.. greater false life. That's Raid Loot worthy, which is why I personally want the Jerky really badly.

    Number Two
That protection trinket? It's an Ioun Stone. A Dusty Rose Ioun Stone, to be precise.
Why were Ioun Stones made into trinkets? You should be able to equip as many as you want, and they kinda just hover around your head. At least, that's what my Tabletop-guru guildie Marckus tells me. If the response is "It'd be overpowered that way" then that's okay. I'd just like input.

    Question, comments, concerns?

I have a blue ioun stone on my rogue... +2 wisdom in the trinket spot... lvl 9 ML tho...

But... agreed, my ranger (since I stole her pop for another character) has nothing really to put in that spot...

Never understood that either. I also find the goggle spot is under-represented by items, but not nearly as much as the trinket spot.

I agree. I'd also like to see a bit more effort put into trinkets.

If not with stat bonuses, then throw 'em on the randomizer with gauntlets, belts, gloves, boots, and maybe rings. That would open up some more equipment combinations.

Ioun Stones need to be a whole 'nother thread. If they're not going to put them into play as a "Ioun Stone" would normally be in DnD, then those items should be named some other way. (Please note that this does NOT mean I wouldn't like to see Ioun Stones in DDO.)
