    Default Iron defender enhancement

My wf fighter/wiz has taken this enhancement for now. The defender can be buffed and is an extremely adequate fighter for low to mid levels. I specifically use him when I cannot get a group for solo purposes which happens a lot as many do not seem to understand that a well played wf wiz/fighter combo can be an asset to a group.

My problem is this, I have the repair spells and can repair myself but when I target the defender it says it's an invalid target. Why am i unable to repair my companion? Is this intentional or an oversight?

    Just curious.

    Repair spells say:

"Transmutes the structure of a living construct ally to repair 1d8 +1 per caster level damage."

    Iron Defenders are:
    "Type: Construct"

So they are not a valid target for the spell as they are not Living Constructs like WF are. Sorry. Way of the Mechanic that Rogues get is supposed to work on them though.

that would be a suiteable explanation but....as I posted somewhere else one of the two actually works.

Not sure which anymore but its either wands of repair or the casted spell that works on them and the other one does not. I have a mithral defender.

Thanks for the explanation. That is exactly what I was looking for.

Repair effects will be able target friendly constructs as well as living constructs in Module 5. You'll be able to fix Rusty soon.
