Default vorp basty and para light bow

i have vorp bastard sword and paralyzing light bow. both are +1 with no rr. both are useable at lvl 13.

    i need :
-vorp kopesh (i have 27 umd so rr shouldn't matter)
    -strength gloves +6
    -charisma cloak +6
    -con belt +6

i won't trade the vorp for one +6 item because as the game moves on the +6 item will not be as usefull, the vorp will still contain its value.

I can understand not wanting to trade the vorp for a +6 item straight up but the reason you gave is incorrect. +6 is the max for a stat item so it not being useful later on is incorrect.

I don't even really use my Vorp that often outside of PoP bosses and high damage reduction critters.

the reason is not incorrect. the game will move on and +6 items will lose value to +7 , +8 etc. the vorp will still maintain its value. sure there will be +2, +3 vorps coming, but it won't depreciate as much as a +6 item. just go look up the cost of a +5 item, theyre giving that stuff away.

OK let me clarify. +6 is the max a stat item will ever be assuming DDO follows PnP. Just like +5 weapons and armor is the max. You won't be seeing +7 or +8 stat items. In fact if anything the vorpal will lose value due to mob immunities becoming more common.

I think most would agree that the special weapon types are becoming less and less useful as the cap progresses - largely because of outright immunities (named bosses and/or Fortification for Vorpal, 26+HD for Banish) or being highly resistant (saves with disruption and smiting)

I would still think, however, that like always, an item is worth whatever you can trade it for.

I think the above probably represents a player that's a bit frustrated getting a few key items and he's trying to trade to get as many of them as possible in one shot...a bit optimistic but I suppose it's possible he might get it.

i have learned that this game and pnp d&d are two very different things. i'm willing to bet we see +7 items in the next mod.

vinos, i just dont see how this game, being mmorpg, can keep the interest of people if they cap items like in pnp. how long are you going to quest for +6 items? i know other weapon types will come into play but i think it would be a big mistake on turbine's part to not have stat items progress along with the levels. if not this next mod, somewhere down the line they will have to increase the "+"'s or our toons will be forever stuck at lvl 14 (stat wise). i never played pnp 3rd edition, maybe i'm missing something but as creatures become stronger at higher levels our toons will need a way to keep up.

Who knows you may be right. All I can tell you is the PnP rules say +6 is the max. But you wanted to bet on the next MOD(being mod 5) having +7 stat items. With no level raise I don't see that happening and thus was more than willing to bet.

    Default for arguements sake

And why would you value the vorpal at such a great cost?
You need a 20.....period for it even having a CHANCE to work. Now if you were talking about a +4 Icy burst scimitar of maiming you may be asking the right price.
