More likely to get +3 tomes?

I have not cranked out the math on this, but will it be more likely to get +3 tomes in an Elite Reaver Raid with the new raid loot changes then you would if you were to solo the Reaver Raid currently? Anybody have time to crank out the numbers on this? I am curious.

Dont need math for that.... You hav ea better chance to get a +3 tome TOday.

However, after 20 Runs you get a dozen choices fromthe raid loot table.. Pretty good chance you'll see a +3 TOme in that list.

Faith is important.

The real answer is that we don't know. Tomes had an atrocious drop rate previously. I ran probably 40 stormreaver raids, and I've seen a single tome drop out of ~80 items. My entire guild has only seen that one tome. At least it was a +3 (and I got it )

So, even assuming that +3 tomes now drop in place of +2 tomes... those drop rates were atrociously low as well.

Now.. if every item has an equal chance of showing up in the 20 raid list... then that will probably be your best chance of getting a +3 tome.

But all that still goes out the window if they increased the +3 tome drop rate above and beyond merely dropping instead of +2's.

We didn't know a lot of those numbers, and so... there's no real way to make an educated guess one way or the other.

Many people absoutely DO run the Reaver Raid Solo.

If you read his post it specificaly states "SOLO"

Yes, there will be more +3 TOmes dropping from the Table.. But Solo is Solo.... Now.. 2 Item drop.. SOlo or 12 man group.... Mod 5, you have a 25% change of geting a single item.

Also keep in mind on your 20th victory there a good chance a +3 tome will pop up as one of your endrewards base on what the devs had said. (a littel under half of everything on raid loot table including the 6 tomes which will be all +3's for the reaver raid)

I ran the reaver raid between my chars over 20 times. I still never gotten a +3 tome and only seen one drop.

The change to having the reaver raid stop dropping bound +2 tomes and instead increasing +3 tomes will be the main factor, not the 1/6 or 1/4 chance of an item. I think that change will be the deciding factor in how many more +3 tomes show up so therefore there should be more because as it is +3 tomes right now are really really rare in the reaver raid. I have seen several +2 tomes in the reaer raid 5 times as many as +3 tomes to be exact.

So in conclusion there will be more +3 tomes after mod 5.

Not cranking out any numbers, but I'd say you probably still have less of a chance in the new system, even with +2 tomes being removed from the table, if you are just running solo before and after. However, under the new system your odds will actually increase by going in with more people, since it will be possible to trade for a +3 tome generated for someone else. You can't really calculate the odds of that happening though, since there are too many variables to consider.
