    Default Latency

What is an average latency to expect while playing, mine is consistancly arround 125-150 when I mouse over the connection icon. I have some pretty bad lag issues, despite upgrading video card and memory and was wondering if maybe this was the problem.

    Thanks.

there is not much you can do about the Latency, thats basically the time it takes to communicate with the servers(DDO), and alll the hops

    You could do a tracert

Start>RUN>TYPE"CMD" and in the CMD window TYPE"Tracert gls.ddo.com"

to see where the latency issues and connection problems may be.

You can also call your ISP and have them do a line check, to make sure you have no problems.

I play via satellite (live in a corn field) and my latency is between 900 and 1500 ms at the best of times. The major effect is that I'm about 1 second behind everyone else, but what I see on screen is ok for me. Only real time it affects playing is when I'm trying to jump. Don't know why that is.
