20 times. So 60 days to get a raid loot as an end reward choice. Thats pretty harsh. Although, remember now thats an END reward, its giving you a CHOICE in what raid item you want. Not a random roll, but a choice in raid loot.
Actually, 20 sounds just right now.

Not the whole table though.. only about half of it.. So its still posible to not get the item you really want/need even after raiding every chance you get for 3 months straight. If your gona make us grind a raid for 2 months.. (And this may truely be the first "Grind" in the game) we should at least get the whole table.
The whole comlplete a raid a bunch of times and then at some point just get a choice thing sounds really good, but 20 is soooo much. I have been playing since the first week of march 2006 and don't think i've run any[ raid more than 11 or 12 times total. The only one i might be close to 20 on is Reaver and that's because the keying process was done in what i consider to be the correct way. If the other raids are changed to act like the stormreaver does, i'd be all for the 20.
And also, would this be 20 starting now, or 20 including all the times we've already run these raids?
Rekeying the demon queen alone takes about 3 hours in an average group, then you have to kill her, so another 25-30 minutes. SOOO, reset timers aside, we're spending 70 Hours just doing those quests so we get a 50/50 shot at the raid loot we've been grinding for?

Perhaps one of the other devs would be able to comment if previous raids will count towards the 20 needed to get a raid loot end reward. In other words, will Someone with 20 or more of a particular raid would get a raid loot choice upon completing that raid for the first time after mod 5 goes live or will they have to start over at 0?
Good stuff all around.
I like the raid stuff.
Getting cursed is really only a hassle for low level characters, or characters who are actually new to the game. I remember back in the day when getting cursed was a HUGE deal (although that was before the tavern brothers). Higher level characters are not goign to have to /death to get rid of it, and lower levels will find life a little easier. Good all aorund.

NEW - +2 Tomes and Manuals will no longer drop as Raid loot in the Stormreaver raid. Any +2 tomes found in the warded chest will have been generated as normal treasure. The drop rate for +3 tomes has been increased to compensate for this change to the raid treasure table.
Nice... Does this mean +2 TOmes have been added to the L14-16ish quest tables? Or wil +2 Tomes only drop nthe other 3 raids?
I agree. Are the +2 tomes being brought back into loot tables for atleast 16+ quests??
NEW - The chance for raid items to drop is increased when the raid dungeon is run on higher difficulty levels. The actual increase in drop rate is dependent on the actual increase in danger of the raid as the Difficulty Level is increased. The maximum drop rate of raid items from any raid on Elite is 25%
NEW - Every 20th time you finish a raid quest your end quest rewards will be selected from the raid loot table instead of being randomly generated. The number of items to choose from will be just under half of the total number of raid items without any duplicates. This is in addition to the normal chance of raid loot dropping for each player during the raid.
I like the changes. IF one of the goals of the changes was to increase raid party sizes, however, this seems to partially offset or negate that effect. With this change I think you will continue to have a lot of reaver solos.

Of the 4 prereq. raids out there, two are quite different than the other two. We all know that once you're flagged for Titan and Reaver, you can get right into it and run them relatively quickly. Flagging for Velah and DQ must be re-done everytime.
Is there anyone out there that thinks the raid loot for Velah and DQ is that much better than the other two? I'd say probably not in an overall sense.
Now with this new 20 times thing and comparing the four, you can run three Reavers to one DQ, IMHO. Titan is longer, but still can be done much quicker than Velah and DQ (with prereqs.)
The question begs answering, why have it seemingly easier and faster for two out of four, especially when people will be sprinting to hit twenty when this goes live?
I see many Titan and Reaver LFMs in our near future, which is a shame for the other two, since I feel all raids should have the same relative amount of difficulty and time to accomplish successfully.

you're right: there are so many ways to remove curses, only a newb would be troubled by having one.
down with newbs!
...then again, i like it when new players don't leave because of low level frustrations. a remove curse potion is a pittance for anyone with a lvl6+ alt. Those first few levels can be rough when your over-zealous party leader insists you can take elite, and you don't know any better.
this change has no effect on a character lvl5+ or able to afford remove curse potions. Please consider who's left.

Like the new raid changes , it incourage groups to bring more. Although does not force them to.
Yeah, but why would you? You've got a 1/6 chance to get a raid item as a solo. 12-man, statistically, means you'll get two items, and after your 20th completion, you get half the raid loot list as an end reward to pick from.
So two items, twenty raids, means fourty items in total, which you can probably guess at getting, say, three if you run in the same group each time.
