A character who's number of completions for a particular raid quest is evenly divisible by 20 will recieve the new raid end quest reward. This results in most characters needing fewer than 20 repetitions to get the bonus end reward the first time.

A few characters will need to complete the quest 20 more times if they happen to have just completed their 20th (or 40th or 60th etc) run just before Module 5 goes live. We felt that it was better to give out early raid loot to most characters rather than having special case (i.e. risky) code to reset everyone to 0.

Doesn't that counter stop when you cap?

Or is there a separate counter for real number of completions?
    Code:
Sil - Human Paladin 14 Lava Divers Tad - Drow Wizard 14
     Semolina - Elf Rog 13/Ftr 1 on Rava - Drow Sorceror 7
Riddikulus - Human Cleric 14 Khyber Clamor - Warforged Barb 7
     Durum - Dwarf Ftr 10/Pal 3/Rng 1 Ridd - Dwarf Ftr 6/Rog 2/Pal 2

So if I read this right - even if I am at say 44 runs of the dragon.
On my 45th run I will get the new end reward screen.

At which point I will need 15 more completes to get my next end reward?
I am ok with that just want to understand that no matter how many completed I have 22, 46, 88 I get one "freebie" on my next complete and then start moving towards the next increment of 20?

And do you have an answer about tomes and raid loot end reward ?
The Ashen - Khyber - Gerbillee (Half 13rg/1ro/2w), Blitzkreig (WF 16w), Chipmonk (Half 16mk), Bandicoot (Df 15CLr) , Chinchilla(WF 16 Monster)- "Go for the eyes, Boo, GO FOR THE EYES! AAAAAAURGH!!" - Kaptan/Hamster/Lemming/Bandicoot all retired - "Terrible Hamster justice shall be wreaked on you!"

As I read it, if you're at 41, you'll have to wait until 60 to get your first end reward.

Ahhh I can see how this could read that way....but alas he is still sorta unclear...but I will assume it is as you say then

Cause that is how I would least like it :P

Does the end reward trigger on the 20th run or is it the first run after 20
I just like to be clear :P

I'm not positive but I think when you enter the quest and it says "You have repeated this quest 19 times" it will be an indication that you're on your extra loot run.

But as I asked above I thought that counter stopped when you capped.

In other words, quest completions #20, #40, #60, etc.

If you're at 21, you'll have 'till 40. You won't just complete raid #36, get your raid end reward prize, and start your counting then.

That counter DOES stop. Apparently cause my level 14 ranger has done POP 0 times.

But he said they have a total run counter separate from the XP counter

Actually, Graal is very clear. His first paragraph says they are using something like
    If (CompletionCount MOD 20 == 0)
Give Choice from half raid loot
    else
    Generate Loot Normally.

His second paragraph says if you have 20 completions when 5 goes live you need to run 20 times to get the loot choice reward.

Let the new round of whinging begin.

Since they have almost no way of knowing how many they are at now, it won't make any difference if they complete more now or stop. They could be at 21 right now, and actually help themselves by running more pre-Mod 5.

    Edit: Says the ninja.

There are two counters, an internal 'total' counter of the number of times you're run POP - and then another counter of the number of times you have run POP while not XP capped. The '0' times you see is the latter counter; the former counter currently isn't exposed by the client, but will be exposed once the new command is added.

So people are going to stop raiding with the guaranteed 2 item per raid to wait for the 1 in 6 item per person and potential bonus at every 20? I don't think so.

That would be stupid of them... they are just as likely to be on 21 as 19 so yes there is a chance they would miss the 20/40/60 but there is an equal chance they would bring themselves closer to the magic number.

I am with ya Khyber brother man OC is accelerating and doing as many raids as we can as fast as we can and as many times as we can. Maximize the 2 guarenteed before the change.

What I have now for a counter total and what I will have then is a total **** shoot unless they add that command before mod 5 which would be nice but I dont expect to see it
