    Default packet loss issue

I am having a issue with packet loss. I moved at the begining of June. I experienced a slight packet loss for around an hour a week, and I play 6+ hours a day.

Then in July, it got more common, 2-3 nights a week, for 2-3 hour segments. Sometimes longer. It is always during 3pm-9pm pacific time, sometimes even after midnight.

Now the last month, It is constant during peak time, constant loss of 10-20%.

Here is the info I have so far:
When I finally dl Risia in July and made a new char, I was the only one on a few nights and had no problems.
The daily loss happened before the server merge.
Quitting DDO and reentering will reset it to 0.0, then will slowly climb back up within 20 mins.
Switching to Wow, I see no loss.
I have ran test on my connx speed and I get a steady 2.5mbs test.
When I dl files, I run around 300+kb/s.
    I am using ATT DSL.
    Same condition regardless of server.

With the way it is now, I am at the point of quitting. I don't want to wait 5 hours after I get home to play. Any advice on settings or testing is appreciated.

If you are getting packet loss it could be either your firewall, network card, router, Modem, ISP. It has nothing to do with DDO per say.

    Do the following

    Start/Run/Type "CMD"

    In the CMD window type

    "Tracert GLS.DDO.com"

If you see any * you have a problem

Call your ISP and have them do a line check.

Also Make sure all your Filters(DSL) on your phones or anything connected to a phone line, except the modem. are working.

Ran thru tests with ATT tech, no problems found. Still no problems running counterstrike or other games, where packet loss would be easily noticable.

That trace indicates intermmitent network issues in the route - unfortunately that is usually not your local isp's problem but not something we can fix either - especially since it seems pretty random. I know others have reported problems like this over the past 2-3 weeks that went through the same att hops (many lotro players).
