When are we going to get some new shield designs?

Outside of named shields, there has not been any additional shield designs added since launch, AFAIK. I would really like to see more shield designs added to break it up. So when we can see some?

They forget that different item designs can make the game cooler and go along way. I think people would forget their gripe about content which I think there is enough but people would focus on cool graphics of armor shields and robes if everything looks different you do not think there is less to do.

we've definately gotten a ton of hairstyles (or at least sharing hairstyles between races), and equipment styles. They slip them in without saying anything.

for instance, i'm pretty sure this shield (and the helm actually) wasn't around at release. Definately not a unique.

Forgot about that shield (believe it had 1 or 2 variations as well). I still want more shields though.

no doubt, but i've got at least 3 other designs i can visualize but not describe properly (happened to have a SS of that one).

There was an update last summer (2.1?) that dropped several new shield models, and, I think, more armor models as well.

But, I agree, it's been a year since that one, so it's time for another bunch of armor..

Well, we have gotten some new shield designs since launch (and I;m not including the unique named ones). To the best of my knowledge new designs came in a small bundle and only once, with no new ones since.

I;m not trying to suggest the OP is wrong or is asking for something he shouldnt though. I am all for adding new designs and appearances on items. I would love to see more, especially with armors and most especially with some completely new robe designs (not just reskinned versions of the same design as we have now). Maybe even something like the darn video shows...haha. Ok it doesn;t have to be that suggestive, but they used it to promote the game and it doesnt even exist. I have also seen alot of nice designs on NPCs which we cannot have, so the designs are there, why not pop em over to us as well?

On a side note and bring up an old discussion, how about being able to see the cloaks...any news on this?

One thing that would immediately make shields more interesting and varied would be to allow people to put the guild crest on them. Same for cloaks if they ever add the graphics in for them.

Then you would see a variety of differences and it would help you ID who is in what guild.

Adding the ability to color armor and clothes will/would be nice if they add it in crafting sometime in the future.

Also with the introduction of gem bags, it would be neat if you had them hanging from your belt. that would add quite a variety of change to characters.

I hope they figure out some way to make a few variations of the dragon scale armors

teh server is quickly becoming populated with a large fleet of all looking the same people

Do something like slip a few more designs in and just make all furture purchases get a random design from the choices

Just say the guys skill varies daily depending on how much dwarven ale hes had

If only they would open up their model specs a bit, they would find an army of people wanting to make models / dynamic skins for armor, weapons, and shields.
