Yeah, WoW's implimentation of putting enemies on the minimap for Hunters was neat.
Any tracks left behind would be obscured by the thousands of adventurers repeatedly flouncing through the quest farming named chests and complaining about lag.

neverwinter nights two. tracking puts a blip on the minimap, and eventually gives you race, class and hitpoints info on the enemies i believe.
that would make it worthwhile.
With how ddo works no real point to it... Now in SWG tracking was useful and cool for awhile till they broke it like they broke everything else until the nge when they killed it altogether.
