I see flaming, icy and whole bunch of burst weapons but has anyone seen an Acid burst other than the Iron Cleaver from Stormcleave?

devs gave us an answer a LONG time ago. Since acid is one of the best elements to have(since its hard to have a natural resistance to it) they did not create a burst for acid except for that 1 named item.

Why shocking burst then? Shock/Acid are the more rare types of resistance, but at the same time you can't exploit elemental weakness with them really.
Conversely Fire/Ice are pretty commonly resisted, but can also be used to exploit a mobs elemental weakness.
Fire/Ice/Electricity are the most common types of resistances.
creatures can even be naturally resistant, aside from just preparing spells.
Acid and Sonic are the rare ones.

Correct. Windlasher (Crucible) and Whirlwind (Desert chests) are the only on-hit Sonic effects on melee weapons (the Screaming Amythest Arrows from Threnal as well). Thundering is only an on-crit effect.

What abut force? I have a weapon that specifically does force damage, i think it even gets though DR...
Force is only on one weapon that I know of, the Greenblade Kukri. It's generally considered the ultimate unresistable damage type, but is only found with a few lower powered spells (that are useful due to their never miss, never resist qualities).
I recall there being a Force weapon besides the Greenblade. I may be wrong on that.
There are no Resist: Force spells in the game. Shield does not stop it.
However, IIRC, Iron Golems and Iron Dogs are immune to it. Aside from that, no creature resists force damage (except from MM/FM, which is negated by Shield/Nightshield).
