Talking How many do you remember? (All of for me)

If you are 13 or under don't bother reading this.
Just because you were born in '97 doesn't mean you're a 90's kid.
It's not like you could remember the original Simpsons. I am sorry but three conscious years of the 90's just wont cut it.

    You're a 90's kid if:

    You can finish this [ice ice _ _ _ _ ]

    You remember watching:
    -Doug
    -Ren & Stimpy
    -Pinky and the Brain
    -AAAAAAAH Real Monsters!
    -Rockos modern Life.
-Gargoyls<----LOVED THIS SHOW have it on DVD
    -Looney Toons

You've ever ended a sentence with the word "PSYCHE!"

You just cant resist finishing this . . . "Iiiiiiin west Philadelphia born and raised . . ."

    You remember:
    -LEGENDS OF THE HIDDEN TEMPLE!!!
    -Step by Step

    You remember reading "Goosebumps"

You took plastic cartoon lunch boxes to school.

You still get the urge to say "NOT" after (almost) every sentence . . . not

    when everything was settled by:
    -rock paper scissors or
-bubble gum bubble gum in a dish or
-daddy had a donkey inky binky bonky.
    -skunk in the barn yard
    -ms. mary mack
-big mac a tea a tea

when cops and robbers was a daily activity.

when we played Hide and go seek until our legs grew numb.

when we used to obey our parents

You used to listen to the radio all day long just to record your FAVORITE song of ALL time (which changed from week to week.)

"Where in the World is Carmen San Diego?" was both a game and a TV game show.

    Captain Planet. He's a Hero.

You knew that Kimberly, the pink ranger, and Tommy, the green ranger, were meant to be together.

You remember when Super Nintendo and Sega Genesis became popular. <---Hell I still have my Atari

You always wanted to send in a tape to America's Funniest Home Videos . . . but never taped anything funny.

You remember watching Home Alone 1, 2 , and 3 . . . and tried to pull the pranks on "intruders"

    You remember watching:
    -The Magic School Bus
    -Wishbone

    -chip n' dale rescue rangers

    You remember Ring Pops.

You remember drinking Surge, and Tang.

If you remember when every thing was "da BOMB!"

When they made the new lunchables so that you could make pizza AND tacos.

You remember boom boxes vs. cd players.

Making those little paper fortune cookie things, and then predicting your life with them.

    You played and/or collected "Pogs"

You had at least one Tamagotchi, GigaPet, or Nano and brought it everywhere.

    one word. . . . . . . . Furbies.

you had a pager but still had to call from a land line.

Cell phones were the size of a brick.

You haven't always had a computer, and it was cool to have the internet. <--eh my dad was a programmer at IBM, we've had computers in house since I was 1yr old.

And Windows 95 was the best.

You watched the original cartoons of Rugrats, Power Rangers, and Ninja Turtles.

    Michael Jordan was a king.

You went to McDonald's to play in the playplace.

You remember playing on merry go rounds at the playground.

    Before the MySpace frenzy . . .

    Before the Internet & text messaging . . .

    Before Sidekicks & iPods . . .

    Before MIKE JONES . . .

    Before PlayStation2 or X-BOX . . .

    Before Spongebob . . .

Back when you put off the 5 hours of homework you had every night.

When light up sneakers were cool.

When you rented VHS tapes, not DVDs.

When gas was $0.95 a gallon & Caller ID was a new thing.

When we recorded stuff on VCRs.

When we called the radio station to request songs to hear off of our walkman.

When checking out drawing books and that one book about the rainbow fish from the library was THE cool thing to do.

    You had slap bracelets!

Dr.Grip was the coolest pencil to have

    Way back.

Before we realized all this would eventually disappear.

I remember all that and more...

And yes, Saturday Morning Cartoons used to be fun and occasion! Now, they don't really exist anymore? While I love Spongebob, there are other cartoons.

OK - Saturday Morning and the Kroft Supershow. Hair Bear Bunch, New Zoo Review (before going to school in the morning). Gumby, Underdog (What was ther name of the big blong henchman that hung out with Simon Bart Sinister?)and, of course, Rocky and Bullwinkle (world of Commander McBragg, Simon and Poindexter)

Sunday morning cartoons stunk - always would get stuck watching that Davey and Goliate claymation thing.

    Zoom - Z double om, box 350 - Boston Mass - 02134

Paula and Carol in the Chucklepatch. Along with sherlock, the pink squirrel.

Wonderama with Bob McAllister - actually saw that live one time and got free Lenders Bagels!

Johnny Socko and his flying robot - followed by Ultraman and that stupid blinking light where - if it stopped blinking - would mean that Ultraman would never rise again.

Getting yelled at for playing Coleco Head-to-head football in the lunchroom. The Mattell version was more concealable.

Figuring out if you jiggled the on/off switch on the original Atari you could get double missle shots during "Space Invaders". Or that sound the game would make when you swung on the rope in "Pitfall".

    OH!!- to be young again
    Partywype - lvl 8 Cleric / Beerwench - lvl 5 Wizard
Beerkeg - lvl 14 Dwarf Barb

Johnny Quest and Speed Racer and the Transformers were 3 of my favorite cartoon shows amongst others.

That made my day, there is this new tv network that plays the oldschool stuff, and it rocks. Why just this morning I caught an episode of legends of the hidden temple. One of my favs though which is missing on the list is "Salute Your Shorts"

Well Jonny Quest has been remade a few times. The original series was great and certainly a classic still. However it was remade again in the late 80's or early 90's, when they introduced Rock, so he may be referring to the newer versions. The original versions became nearly extinct from TV, although I still have some of the originals.

Similar such old shows I used to love (though certain not the 90's) were the original Battle of the Planets (G-Force) (and not the horrid remakes that have been on in the last 5 years or so), Shogun, and even a little newer the original Staurday morning Dungfeons & Dragons Cartoon.

Oh well, I'm certainly no kid from the 90's...personally, I wasnt too thrilled with the 90's, but I still recall at least 90% of the list...haha

The theme song was the absolute best TV theme ever! I remember when I was in High School trying to get our band director to arrange it for Marching Band.

    wait a minute...

    I'm on an Internet forum,
    for a video game,
which is based on Dungeons and Dragons,
    talking nostalgicly about cartoons,
and referencing being in marching band...
I think I just won the Geek Olympics!
