Don't know if I would agree with the OP's implementation, but I would love to see mimics. i think a perfect place for them would be anywhere that chests randomly spawn. Say VON 2 for example.

I think Mimic should not be predictable at all. If the Mimic could appear in place of any chest the players would have to stop prepare before openning a chest and running on after looting. Certainly any chest that does not
spawn after a mob has died would be a good start. Oh I assumed that it would scale to the level of the quest. I think having Mimics would enhance the replayableness of the quests.
in reality a Mimic could appear inside a new adventure, or change it for certain ones..... for example.... Wizard King.....
7 chests guaranteed, and what like 5 or 6 more possible chests.... the adventure would be set up like that. Say 6 chests for sure and another 6 possible chests, and there's a chance that any one of them would be the mimic...... ie. ONE WILL BE a Mimic, you just don't know which one.
I'm not saying that is how we would want it, but it's probably how Turbine would impliment it....... Another idea if the Mimics could be used in already existing adventures, mabey they only show up on Elite.
Not strictly on topic but...
Another thing I would like to see is more trapping of chests... and not so much like they are now, which is environmental traps triggered off chests being opened. I am thinking more like explosions from the chests: poison, acid, fire, etc.
How about a failed disable on those chest traps actually destroy or damage the equipment inside?
