Default Request a Build - Get a Build

Welcome to my build thread : 111+ served!
    Last Updated: 03/01/2012

News: Since I'm now hosting DDOCast I'll be doing one build request for each show which means about one request per week and featuring it on the show.

Notes on using the thread: Its really long, I found that if you don't increase the posts per page count in your user preferences you can't see the final posts in the thread.

You can read my build philosophy here...
    https://www.ddo.com/forums/showthrea...71#post2313371

    About Making Requests
You can make a request in the thread or send me a PM.
I get far more requests than I can fulfill (unlike when I started the thread) and I tend to go in spurts of activity.
I will favor builds I find interesting, challenging or unique and sometimes builds that fill a basic niche in the game.
Try to be as specific about what you want and what kind of options you can use as possible.
I will post the build, link it in this index and try to send you a PM that its done.
If your request is really similar to one I've already done, I may just send you the link instead of making a new one.

TWF 32 point strength build, dual wielding khopesh or (dwarven axe if dwarf)

Either full barb or ranger, or any combo of barb/ranger/fighter as you see fit (multiple build options would be nice to see as well)

And perhaps a TWF Dex build, for some wounding of puncturing finesse weapons

    Default well...

i have a friend who is just coming back to the game after a long layoff, and is looking to make a warforged wizard as self sufficient as possible for solo play, from low to high levels, if you could let me know what you can with that, would be great, and ill pass it on to him

    thanks

28 point build btw and multiclassing not preferred but may be considered depending on the pros and cons

    Talking

I had a go at this idea but i can't get it just right. The offensive ability is too low with my current planing, so let's see what you can do about it.

A 32 pt WF 3 wizard/ 11monk who dualweilds. My figuring is that this character can reach higher AC then other races and non-muti-classers because it can wear armor (docent) and wear a sheild (wiz spell). It needs to have high enough offensive and defensive abilities to be effective at high leveld content. The bonus wizard feat is ofcorse extend for buffing.

so far i can get his AC to 48, but his attack bonus is +20.

I realize we don't know what the enhancements for monks are, but we can assume certain ideas: 2 tier wis bonus, bonus stunning fist, tumble bonus, ect. use your imagination in this department.

    Default Guaire 2.0

So my main is a Warforge Pally. Simply put, I love him. Also simply put - he's gimped. Only running him non-stop since startup and gearing him out has rectified this.

I now have (or will in 59 more favor) 32 point builds open and I want to create Guaire 2.0 but I can't get it right.

Guaire's benefits: Pally Saves, Warforged Immunities, Self-buffing (resists, death ward, etc), Self- Healing (3 LOH @ 160 HPs a shot).

Guaire's weaknesses: Strength and Offensive potentcy. Starting STR = 14.

With his current gear and no buffs, his stats are as follows:
    STR:20
    DEX:10
    CON:21 (+2 TOME)
    INT:10
    WIS:16
    CHA:24
    HP: 330
    SP: 216

I want to rebuild him to balance the increase in strength vs. the loss in charisma/wisdom needed for pally goodness. I'm sitting on +1 STR/DEX/INT tomes and could likely lay hands on WIS/CHR/CON in guild. I'm also not opposed to multi-classing but in doing so need to be able to manage my own resists. If it'd be easier to accomplish the general concept here via a different career path, I'm game for that too.

    Default WF Barbarian

I know there were a million of these in the lost threads...

I've never built a WF, and I was curious how a more or less balanced (ie, not min-maxed), high-DPS WF Barbarian would look.

Just post a request in this thread laying out what it is you want the build to do. Feel free to include as many specifics and requirements as you like. I'm happy to work on both good, bad, or silly ideas. Give me a challenge and I 2will try to meet it as best I can.

    My priorities will be
    Meeting your buld's requrements
    Making it playable
    Making it interesting

    In that order

I will only include equipment considerations if you specifiy them or if they are somehow essential for the build.

I will post each build in its own post along with your name and a summary of the request you made. I will try to do each build within a week of the request.

I went with a Human/Kopesh over Dwarf/Axe since the focus was on DPS rather than durability.

Is an elven wizard (mostly)/Bard (one or two levels) who's not completely gimp with sword and bow possible?

I want to focus on wizard, with a level (or two max) of bard to add light armor proficiency and the ability to use some ever-handy cure wands etc, and the option to use a sword and (especially) a bow to conserve spell points.

Am I dreaming or are there enough options to build a decent character?

I took a stab at my build request and posted it in the ranger forum. Feel free to check it out and critique instead of setting one up special. Thanks!

32 pt WF arcane trickster, stealth as high as you can without taking away from the rest of the build. Dont worry about listing any gear.
My Videos Shadow Mage (ok, it's a build now)
A forum post should be like a skirt - long enough to cover the subject material, but short enough to keep things interesting.

    Arrow Drow Bard-Fighter?

How about a drow bard fighter?

I'm not much for shields, but if twf doesn't make sense for me, that'd be okay. I mostly solo, but want to be useful when I have to group. I guess my hope is to be a hardy jack-of-all-trades. Fun and easy to play a priority.

Asking for a build because I seem to be slow to level and whenever I pick new feats/enhancements/whatever, it tends to be whatever would help me at that time. So obviously, I'm not very good at being patient and planning ahead. Please help stop my cycle of gimped uselessness!

Default I've played very few halflings

    - been awhile and I'd like to give it another go.

General purpose 28 pt Dex based Halfling. Can run solo, or in a group. Challenge - all Dragonmarks at first available opportunity.
So, I hear that one day we may get Familiars...
    ....I want a Velociraptor!

Smile Help me build a Drow Sorcer/fighter

I've just roled a new Drow Sorcere/fighter. He's at 4th level now but I want your advise before going any farther with him. I was thinking of advancing him so he would be a 50/50 build But I'm not sure thtat that,s the way to go. What I really want in a non squishy Sorcere.
Thanks for any help you can give
