    Thank You for the links.
    Some questions about conversion:
    1) Gnome has +2 INT -2 STR. I will want to put something on STR to keep adequate load capacity.
Also there is an option to go 20 with INT. I don't want to screw up any feat requirements. Suggestions?

    2) Compared to warforged I must substitute repair self healing with curative admixtures and UMD scrolls. Comments on spell selection?

    3) Gnome racial tree has quite powerfull Color Spray and intriguing weapon damage options. How do those compare to class Enhacements (I will surely be using Harper for INT to hit and damage.)?

I am sorry I just can't use more of my brain for the game for the moment. Work is hecktic and life is changing.

Just thought I would pop in and say hi! This is what happens when I get simultaneously bored, tired, and silly.

Depends which build you use and what tomes you have. Ranged Artificer: you need DEX 19 for Improved Precise Shot and DEX 21 for Combat Archery. Melee (SWF) Arty: all you need is STR 13 for Power Atk / Cleave / GC chain and/or DEX 13 for Precision.
    2) Compared to warforged I must substitute repair self healing with curative admixtures and UMD scrolls. Comments on spell selection?
Fleshy arty either relies on Positive Energy healing or takes the Construct Essence feats so they can self-Repair same as a Warforged. In either case you'll want to invest in the new RMM tree: heal / repair amp, Admixture SLAs, etc.
    3) Gnome racial tree has quite powerfull Color Spray and intriguing weapon damage options. How do those compare to class Enhacements (I will surely be using Harper for INT to hit and damage.)?
Color Spray SLA is definitely worth picking up on any gnome INT build, IMO. The only arty-specific gnome weapon bonus is to light repeaters; however the crit range bonus in the gnome tree doesn't stack with the one in the Battle Engineer tree.

Gnome (Halfling too) is handicapped by a 2/3 load capacity, which is doubly painful if you dump Str completely. A couple suits of droploot full plate or tower shields, and whumph!, you're encumbered, just that easy. And the vulnerability to become "Helpless" when hit by Str drain effects is just unacceptable to many.

(For reference, a typical suit of droploot plate mail weighs 50, a Tower Shield 45.)

Where exactly you want to be is up to you, what is "good enough". You'll get +2 from Guild Buffs, and a +Str item is (effectively) a "must have", but it's a lot of personal preference, how important "loot" is to you, and so forth.

It's important for new players to remember that you only suffer no penalties if you're carrying 1/3 or less of load, - and you get NO notification until you are at MORE than 2/3!

For that invisible 33.34-66.66% range, aka "Medium Encumbrance", the penalties are:

    • Reduces run speed by 5%
    • Caps your maximum dexterity bonus at 3
    • Gives you a -3 armor check penalty (this not not effect any Trapping-related skills)
    • (Monk characters become uncentered.)

(Note - Evasion is not lost until you are cross into "Heavy Encumbrance", more than 2/3 of max load.)

Finishing gnome racials right now. Yes, color spray is really good on ANY int based build. Used it to really good effect on a gnome pure THF Kensai and its good on my artificer now.

So what I'm looking for is some suggestions for my upcoming Dwarf racial lives. They're racial TRs and I customarily do both ES sagas in heroics and turn them in to hit 20 these days. That means my last 300k of 3.8M xp is going to be saga xp, which means any builds aren't going to spend much time at level 18 really. This means core 20 is totally devalued and core 18 is heavily devalued. Any builds should be rapid maturing and strong in the level 8 to level 17 range where most of the playtime in a racial life is. For what it's worth I have a SoS for THF builds. Any thoughts?

I feel like going for melee arti, maybe based on one of your builds in the Maveric Hunter thread. I have those +3 tomes from 10th anniversary and +5 INT tome.
I do have lots of runearms, and I want to play pure Arti to get full benefit from those. I don't have many bastard swords or dwarven axes, so I might as well use hammers. How essential is that bastard sword/dwarven axe?
Should I keep Cleave chain for AOE damage anyway, or take something else?

I will want Precision, but 10 DEX is enough with the tome. I think dumping WIS and CHA, 10 DEX, 20 INT, 10+ STR rest CON.

I think going full cyborg for energy drain immunity and self heal. I know this will be problem in groups in harder content.

As requested, specced for warhammers just in time for Whelm. I would've liked to invest more into RMM for extra CON + Recon SLA, but the APs in gnome for +2 INT and Color Spray SLA eat into that. Extra APs would definitely help, so better get cracking on those racial PLs! Likewise feats are actually kinda tight; I backloaded the Construct Essence feats to focus on DPS, but you could move them around if you want self-repairing much sooner.

    Cool Fvs melee Vistani build

+3 tomes except +5 to INT. I have all races except iconic gnome. I hope for good DPS, and tend to solo a lot.

Even though you have already moved on to another build, here's my take on this build.

Vistani and FvS go well together actually if you select Vol. It allows Wisdom to attack/damage with daggers (Knowledge of Battle). I do not use the character planner, but my own spreadsheets. Here is the breakdown, hope you can read it

    Favored Soul 12
    Monk 6
    Fighter 2

Aasimar for Wis boost is my current life.
    Alignment: LN
    SWF Vistani dagger
    Wis based
Follower of Vol <-- you need an Ebberon based race to get access to Vol.

    AP 81
Racial 3 Core 1, Healing Amp
Vistani 44 All cores, 3 T5 powers, Blood Vengeance (at level 20)
Monk NiS 11 Core 1-3 - Phase out / Agility
FvS Warsoul 10 Core 2 - Divine Will / Wall of Steel / Righteous Weapon
    Monk Henshin 1 Core 1
Monk Shin 12 Core 1-3, Restoring the Balance, Ki-shout, Iron Fist / Iron Skin

Level Class BaB Features Feats Stat
    1 Monk 1 0 G1 - Cleave, M1 - Power Attack
    2 Monk 2 1 M2 - SWF
    3 Fvs 1 1 Follower of Vol (+1 att) G2 - Extend Spell
4 Fvs 2 2 Knowledge of Battle (Wis) Wis +1
    5 Fvs 3 3 Child of Vol (+2 att/dam)
    6 Fvs 4 4 G3 - Quicken Spell
    7 Monk 3 4 Light Path
    8 Fvs 5 5 Energy Absorption (Fire) Wis +1
    9 Monk 4 6 G4 - ISWF
10 Fvs 6 7 Blood is the Life
11 Fvs 7 7 Stout of Heart (extra HP)
    12 Monk 5 8 G5 - IC Piercing Wis +1
    13 Monk 6 9 Adept of Forms M3 - Dodge
    14 Fvs 8 10
    15 Fvs 9 10 G6 - Master of Forms
    16 Fvs 10 11 Energy Absorption (Lightning) Wis +1
    17 Fvs 11 12
    18 Fighter 1 13 G7 - Grandmaster of Forms, F1 - GSWF
    19 Fighter 2 14 F2 - Greatcleave
    20 Fvs 12 15 Beloved (+3 att/dam) Wis +1
    21 Overwhelming Crit
    22
    23
    24 Toughness / Construct Exemplar Wis +1
    25
    26 Perfect SWF
27 Epic Toughness / Epic Will
28 Perfect TWF (or Mass Frog if Wisdom is really high) Wis +1
    29 Dire Charge
    30 "Epic DR
    Legendary Feat: Astral Plane"

    Epic Destiny Legendary Dreadnought

Twist 1 Sense Weakness (FotW T4)
Twist 2 Unearthly Reactions (Mag T1)
Twist 3 Dance of Flowers (GMoF T1)
Twist 4 Make Twist 2: Grim Precision (SD T3)

I am now level 30 and using mostly level 28/29 gear. 1500 hps (Stout of Heart helps here), 167 PRR & 50 MRR (200-ish in LD/with the right Vistani Fortune/Mist Stalker boosts). AC 127. Fort 64, Dex 83, Wis 65. 60% doublestrike, 135 Melee Power (peaking at 200 with Blitz and other boosts). 110 DC on Dire Charge. Can self heal and self buff. The buffs from Vistani are just awesome.

It is a great solo toon. I usually run low reaper (have only 13 reaper points up to now). The damage from the daggers is awesome all through heroics and into epics.

    Default Primal avatar destiny build

    Hi folks,

I wonder what would be good build to level up Primary avatar destiny with? I was thinking about either Druid caster or strength based ranger (12 ranger/6 fighter/ 2x - maybe half orc or dwarf with dwarven axes? I do not have that many great khopeshes in my bank, but still might craft something). It will be my 4th life, slowly but surely moving forward to completionist.

Looking forward for you ideas, thanks in advance

20 Bladeforged Warlock, SE + TS + Reconstruct SLA

Feed on Magic from SE gives unlimited 30 mana procs for free Reconstruct SLAs.

Also works with all the other EDs.

While not as strong as Dreadnought (but what is?), Primal Avatar is a solid choice for a TWF or wolf-form build: +60 Melee Power from the cores and the Nature's Fury line for added DPS. No need to MC (unless you want trap skills), just run a pure Tempest.

I don't know what the current state of tree builds is. I believe that during the druid pass, the devs nerfed / fixed all the bugs which had been propping them up with vague promises of overhauling how tree form works, but I've not seen any new builds posted since then.

The +2 STR tome comes from Favor. You ought to be able to hit 1,750 Favor by level 15, though you need to unlock some P2P content along the way. Since it's a first-lifer, I tried to keep the Fate Twists within reason.

EDIT: this is the DPS-focused AP split. If you need help with trap skills, you can shift APs from Assassin into Mechanic or human tree for the static bonuses like Mechanics or Awareness as well as Skill Boost.

Forgive my ignorance - what does Conc do for this build (is that just for the odd in-combat scroll?)?

Sim w/ the late rank of Balance - :?

Yup. You can replace it with Balance or Haggle or whatever if you prefer. Once you have the important skills taken care of (i.e., UMD, Bluff, stealth, and trap skills), it doesn't really matter what you do with leftover pts. I maxed Tumble because backflips are cool.

    Default PDK Silvanus past life

Wanted to do a PDK for cleric past life, was thinking animal domain (I love the idea of dire charge) and Silvanus. I don't have a heart of wood to expend. My thoughts were either 14c/6f, or perhaps 14c/1f/5barb. I have a mythic drow maul I picked up and could craft a legendary greensteel maul as well (haven't figured out what affixes would work best with it). If the life goes well, planning on grabbing a few eTRs on this build toon before rerolling. Thanks. (Side note: 4th life and I have +3 tomes for everything but str and int which are at +4)

Do you have Falconry? I was thinking WIS-based PDK cleric 14 / ftr 6: Animal Domain for Feral Charge (DC is based on WIS); tier-5 Kensei for melee DPS; tier-4 Falconry for No Mercy, bird attacks, etc.; rest into Stalwart D. for defensive stance etc.

EDIT: first stab at what I was thinking about.

Thanks a bunch Unbong--Unfortunately I don't have falconry or the DDP to get it, and only 25 fate points/4 slots (perhaps just dropping sense weakness?). I do have Harper tree. What do you think about doing Harper for spell components/KtA or perhaps warpriest for doublestrike/ameliorating instead? I suppose then I'd have to be strength based rather than wisdom. Will that ruin this build strat in general?

Actually, probably going to just make the PDK wargod build you have listed in your siggy. Thanks again! (though I am a bit sad about the animal domain, figure that str really makes more sense)

Falconry finally provides a way for clerics to get WIS to-hit and damage; and unlike FvS it isn't restricted to deity weapons. So WIS becomes your all-in-one stat for this build concept: melee to-hit & damage; DCs for caster spells (e.g., Soundburst, BoGW), Hunting Bird attacks, and Dire Charge / Feral Charge; plus higher Will saves ofc. Other than CON and feat pre-reqs (i.e., Precision + THF chain), you can dump everything else. The main downside is the AP cost: tier-5 Kensei + tier-4 Falconry eats up most of them; after Stalwart D. I didn't have any left over for cleric trees.

Without Falconry, if you stick with WIS-based you have lower melee DPS; and if you go STR+CHA-based for better melee DPS, you give up on caster DCs and Feral Charge knockdown. It's still workable, but it doesn't have the same synergies.

EDIT: for those w/out Falconry yet, ordinarily you could splash FvS for Divine Will to add 1/2 WIS mod to damage & DCs. But Feral Charge requires cleric 14 and Strike w/No Thought req's ftr 6, so a 13/6/1 or 14/5/1 split gives up one or the other. Cleric 14 / barb 5 / FvS 1 is an alternative too, now that the tier-5 crit bonuses in the barb trees no longer depend on Rage, but you said no LR +1, so that's out.
