can someone point me in the right direction or come up with a good build? Mostly for flavor but would like to maximize it's capabilities. thanks in advance.

That video is over two years old, which means his build must predate the recent-ish monk buffs in Update 33. The build should still work as advertised, but there's no particular reason to use that class split instead of pure monk, unless you want trap skills or need a rogue PL.

I've been playing a bit in the new expansion and was looking up some mechanics here... Lo and behold, my old build thread is still running after more than 10 years. Amazing!
My hats off to all the folks that have kept folks supplied with builds and advice all this time. So cool!
Sorry, missed this post before now.
If you have Harper, fighter / wizard is a much better combo than paladin / sorcerer. We have several threads about them.

Hello,
Hope I am requesting this correctly. Looking for a good starter build for brand new player. I have been messing with an artificer and really like the repeater crossbow. Just not sure if should be a artificer or a rogue and if so what would be a good build to play as far as I can on the character. I will be playing a bit of solo and also some group play with other friends who are also just starting up..no other classes picked yet for those either.
Please help!
Thanks!
Warforged Artificer is a pretty strong choice for a soloing ranged build - presuming you have access to WF and arty, which it sounds like you do - see this thread.

in case someone is interested i put here the build i'm currently playing, it is ispired by the video linked i the quote.
i have decided to go halfling just because i liked it probably it is not the best race!
i went full dex using the ninja spy dex to hit/dmg core and max wisdom with some int for skill point and trap skills.
i'm just level 7 and for now the build seem to be really fun if you like the unarmed style (wich i do love a lot). being able to do trap is also very good since my teammate is a chubby warlock with no evansion ^^
this is the build btw let me know if you have any suggestions

I'm looking for a Vistani Knife Fighter build to maximize the most out of the class. An added bonus would be able to use the Assimar Scourge iconic class as well. I would like to take this up to level 30.
The Even More Broken Monk
2 Ranger
18 Monk
7 AP Scourge - Healing Hands
41 AP VKF Melee/Ranged power, offhand chance, versatility
31 AP HeM 50 Melee Power, Cauldron of Flame, free quick draw feat for staff/dagger/bow/handwrap weapon swaps
Feats by level 18 (7 heroic, 3 monk, TWF Free, Rapid Shot free, Bow Strength free): Whirlwind Attack chain (5), Great Cleave chain (3), TWF (3)
21, 24, 27, 30 epic feats [B10k stars, ]zen archery, point blank shot, manyshot[/B]
26, 28, 29 30 ED feats PTWF, Gaurdian Angel, Dire Charge, Arborea
Use primal avatar epic destiny. Attacks and Henshin spell like abilities like ki bolt or Cauldron of Flame will generate spirit. Cleaves and WWA will bypass tree slow attack speed. 10k stars and manyshot cause ranged power to surpass and replace melee power via versatility. (This is for you Unbongwah, just to show my melee power repeater monk is no more broken than my 10k stars/manyshot ranged powered tree!)
Will need halycon boots or torc or other heavy mana items (green steel).
Rotate Primal travel, meld into darkness, mist stalker, and Cauldron of Flame to remain at a ludicrous dodge no one has heard of before. Ridiculously high single target dagger damage, and hilariously high AoE tree damage. With self healing and an excellent ranged option as well.
TWF dagger fuels ki and some spirit, to fuel Henshin Slas for spirit and Cauldron of Flame to fuel more spirit right before using AoN, to fuel twf unarmed Avatar of Nature, whose melee is powered by bow ranged manyshot and ki powered 10k stars. How cool is that?
PS: this shouldn't be considered so much a build, and instead more like a work of art!

I'm looking for a (semi)viable late game rune arm wielding swashbuckler. It has to be able to get past and do traps. Any Heroic past life feats work and any tomes work.
I'd like to have it be a bard life.
I was thinking using the swashbuckler different tact and harper to get int to hit/damage, while having high charisma to be able to charm/stun things as a bard. I'd also imagine the primary focus would be onhit effects and/or crits.
But, I am not the builder here, those were just my thoughts.
Please and Thank you!!

Hello, feels like 10 years passed since I' ve been here last time.
Happy to see the game only got better.
I am looking for 2 builds:
I prefer pure builds with 20 levels in a single class.
Build 1.
First Life
Race: Dragonborn
Class : S&B DPS Fighter
Points: 32
I prefer a S&B, but I can go for a THW if advised.
I want a S&B for the shield bash passive secondary attack.
Build 2.
First Life
Race: Dragonborn
Class : Barbarian THW DPS
Points: 32
Barbarian THW DPS
I also see I have some turbine points in my account from old days, but I dont see any ability tome to buy, it always says "No Items". I do remember I bought some long time ago but for a different toon. I heard that tomes are account bounded, does that mean that I can only buy tomes for 1 character, meaning I already got all tomes possible to the old toon and cant get for any new one I create?
I dont really like Paladins, and I realize that Barbarian may not be the best class for a Dragonborn, still, I want to play a DPS Dragonborn melee class. I am aware some of my questions may have been already answered, but I am not good in find stuff on forums, so I will be more than happy with directions if it come to that.
I appreciate any help.
Thank you.

Any particular reason you want a Rune Arm Swashbuckler instead of the more conventional S&B variety? Do you have a bunch of RAs stashed away or is it just for novelty's sake or what?
It's doable, but there's a couple of reasons why I don't like RA Swashies:
- S&B Swashies get Skirmisher (+10% Dodge) and Low Blow (knockdown atk which sets them up for Coup de Grace); they can also take Shield Mastery feats, which provide some PRR and +15% Doublestrike w/Legendary SM Twist. So there's both offensive and defensive perks to going S&B. By comparison, Cannoneer only provides +1d6 Sonic dmg from Music Box and it doesn't even scale with Sonic Spellpower, IIRC; plus whatever imbues your RA provides, ofc. But it's just much weaker overall.
- Since you're restricted to light armor by Swashbuckling, it's a pretty good idea to have Evasion, either from the SB capstone or a rogue splash, which also provides trap skills. You don't get Evasion on an arty / bard combo. Of course, you could do a bard / rog / arty combo, but that means you can't -
- Use a bard / rog / ftr split like 15/2/3 which lets you take Stalwart Defender; 13 APs gets you +25 PRR/MRR and +20% HPs (or +6 STR/CON). A bard / arty / ftr doesn't benefit from higher-tier defensive stance bonuses because you're restricted to light armor and don't have a shield equipped like the Skirmisher does.

THF will have stronger DPS, unsurprisingly, but S&B works fine. Any tomes etc. you can throw at this? Also do you have Harper?
This is pretty simple: just take Zoda and tweak the stats & feats a little. I.e., start max STR & CON and drop Completionist (obviously can't take it on a first-lifer). At the time, mauls were the best option for barbs in epics, but now it's more of a toss-up; meaning you take the Improved Critical feat which matches the weapons you plan to use.Class : Barbarian THW DPS
Points: 32

I do have Harper. I see no problem to throw some tomes, I am just not sure on how to do it. I know tomes don't stack and only the highest value apply. I dont know how to get tomes. When I access the DDO Store and go to tomes section it says "No Items" as almost everything else in the store. I even have a lot of points on the account to spare, they are sitting there for years, and I will happy spent those points if I know ehre to invest.
Long time ago I made a rogue and I got tomes for that char. So I will ask again, if tomes are account bounded can I only get tomes for one character or can I get tomes for every new toon I make? How?
Thank you for your quick reply.
