Apart from switching to a different ED and maybe pure rogue, I'm not sure what else you can do to improve DPS. Tier-5 Mechanic + Expert Builder is about as good as it gets for great xbows, IMO. HTRing would let you add the rogue PL feat the next time around; if you're willing to ride the TR Train, rgr PL x3 means +6 ranged dmg. What do you feel is lacking?

I'm honestly not sure where he's lacking, I just feel perpetually underpowered. I'm not really the best player, and I'm still getting the hang of playing a ranged character after spending years doing melee only. He's got a really nice weapon, the Legendary Divine Artillery, and I'm working on an LGS great crossbow as well. He's also kinda squishy. I did the Slave Lords chain for the first time today and he went down entirely too many times in the final fight. We were only doing Epic Normal!

You might want to try switching to Divine Crusader: Sacred Ground provides the heals, while Crusade, Celestial Champion, and Zeal of the Righteous boost your DPS.

Alternatively, get better at kiting. Oftentimes the best defense is simply staying out of attack range while you pew-pew. While unconventional and a little subpar DPS-wise, the rog 18 / barb 2 split gets +28% run speed and Sprint Boost. If you have SDK, you can make a test toon (rog 13 / barb 2) to experiment with faster kiting to see if it helps.

Chain focused Shadar Kai? I have read in old posts that chains are not good.. is there a way to make them good? hah maybe super high dexterity?

Thinking of something like an AoE brute, with good dodge any ideas?

Just recently finished my first epic completionist (extra ToF - yeah). I read that first filling up all 36 ePL is best when (very, very eventually) going for C or 3C even.
I like mauls (drow; TF) for the crit range and multiplier.
My last life as PDK STR (no CHA) started to finally let me do some EE solo (or really contribute). So I am looking for a maul build with good PRR and DPS. I was looking for tactics (stun, lay waste) for a bit of cc.
Read a lot on the forums. not a bit wiser. tried a PDK Ftr 14 / FvS 6 (Silvanus, War Priest) on the planner. I think it would suck. Especially the mix between CHA / STR I am not sure what to do, to make this a guild toon.

So is PDK F14/FvS 6 - a good choice for running 22 more Epic Lives ?
and if so what choices to make on the build. many thanks!!! I am really stuck here.

Hello, I am seeking a Ranger style build like that of which you would find in the LOTR series. Yes strider is most notable but rangers in general always interested me. I am currently F2P and work a lot. I did get a 100 roll on my lvl 3 fighter yester day and gained a +2 tomb of wis I also only have 28 point build available to me the races of human, dwarf, Halfling, and elf.

I did do some looking and I can't seem to find any builds that are recent as in 2016-17.

Looking to use something like a long sword and dagger with a bow or something a long those lines along with sneak and be good with traps as I normally solo. So being able to really "do it all" in a quest is huge.

That's, uhh, pretty much what the Tempest Trapmonkey does already. You can invest a bit more into ranged DPS that it does if you want. And while khopeshes are the best DPS option for STR-based TWF, you can use any weapon combo you like, really. The build hasn't been updated in a long time because it's one of the most durable build combos in DDO. I mean I posted my version 7 years ago and I was just updating someone else's build at the time.

I've got a toon that is THF themed(not staffs). Time to farm some warlock PLs. Looking for a THF warlock splash with fighter or barbarian. Bruiser role.

Not tried it because I realized 12 ftr 5 lock 3 fvs would do just as well for the original goals, but a guildy is liking it, and we're liking just having him there for the FvS debuff on raid nights. Just switch out SWF/TWF for THF and drop dex if I have it posted as TWF. 3 FvS can be ignored if don't plan on running epics or just want go 12 lock instead.

Cool! Will play a bit on planner to see how i would put it together. I suppose you're aiming for kensei's critical profile.As you already diving in Barbarian's FB,isnt Focused Wrath a better option than keen edge?

I know there is tons of posts on mauls. But please just some feedback if this (below) would be a survivable, decent dps build. Also seeing that cleric domains are out now, I went with Unbongwah's Kensei build. Strenght domain or Luck domain? So cleric and not FvS.
Maybe anyone played this recently? all comments appreciated!!

Hi all! Returning player here (haven't played in a couple years) and I have a build request. Well, more of a "is it viable" request.

I'm looking to build a character combining my two favorite classes - rogue and monk. I was thinking rogue 13/monk 7, probably halfling. Wondering about enhancements (which trees to focus on), feats, etc. As for weapons, unarmed or shortswords or ...? I'm open to pretty much anything but would prefer soloability due to my playing schedule.

I signed up for VIP again so I have all the races/classes and would be open to splashing another class in there too if it'd make it better.
