So... we see tons of WF running around. Most of them are kinda gimped builds. That's not to say that WF are inherently gimped builds, but rather that most people who play WF end up gimping themselves.

That being stated, I wanna try a WF. Problem is... I'll gimp the build like so many others.

So i bring it to the experts, as I've tried a few other builds posted here and been delighted. I know I'm about to propose something that will not be easy, and that comes with certain... drawbacks, but I have confidence that the brilliance of the builders in this forum will find a way to ungimp me.

I want a WF Fighter, pure fighter. I want him to have a decent ammount of intim, as I plan for him to be a tank, and I want him to be capable of actually absorbing the damage he'll be taking. He should be healer friendly, and a sword&board build. 32 point is fine, but he won't have access to anything beyond that (such as tomes and whatnot).

Eventually he'll raid, but the build shouldn't be designed around what he can be with raid gear, after all, he has to be playable before he starts raiding, if he's to ever raid.

Default newbie character 28pt no tombs human-fighter

Hello, I got into this game and I have tried out some characters, the one that appeals to me most right now is the fighter class. I was looking at the human race because ina team that will be very helpful. The character i was thinking of is a fighter that uses the greataxe so it will probably have thf, and the ones that are associated with it. Im trying to go for max damage though, the reason i have 2 handed fighting is because if the monster has DR then it should be able to do more damage to them, also the strength modifier seems more for two handers. I am trying to fit spring attack into the character and the passive skills like weapon focus and weapon specialization since my style is to mostly manuver and then attack using normal attacks alot. once in a while i will spam all the skills that i have but its only when i remember. the character i have in mind will be in a team of around 6 people. this character will be the damage dealer of the party with melee. I will not be tanking unless its needed since there are other character builds in the team that will be tanking. I'm sorry if the build is a little off. If there is a better build even if i have to use two weapons then i could do that. however the one thing I'm very sure i want is the human fighter since they have the strength enhancements that can add to my damage modification. if you can help me with feats and enhancements i will be glad. also stat point distribution, the one im thinking of right now is str 17, dex 13, con 16, int 8, wis 8, char 8.

If you can give me a detailed breakdown of what i need to do as i go along, and maybe give me an explanation as to why so that i can learn, and perhaps be able to do the next one on my own =]. Also if there is something that you need me to clarify you can message me and then i will try to answer your question to the best of my newbie knowledge. This character is going to be pure fighter for the lvl 20 fighter skill.

I'm looking for a Bard build with decent spellcasting/healing/buffing capabilities but with high DEX for crossbows/bow use and ranged damage. Is this build even worth it?

I'd appreciate a human ranger build, 28 pts, with repeating heavy crossbow as the main goal, the ability to sneak around would also be appreciated

I'd like a Human Rogue/Wizard build that'd be fun for solo that combines sneaking with spells. And if not that then a sneaky ranger/rogue that can take locks/traps.

Humans get enhancements to intelligence and constitution so it kind of makes up for some of the shortcomings, plus any other enhancement you'd get as warforged becomes a free slot for anything else. Not to mention the free feat.

I'd like to play a favored soul/fighter, human, 28-point build. Mostly favored soul, but wearing plate and using a two-handed weapon and focused on melee. Ideally I'd like a very good soloing character who can also do something useful in groups.

Mainly I just want to know how many levels of fighter to splash in with favored soul, and what order would be best to take the levels in. But a full recommendation for feats and enhancements and stuff would be great, too.

I was thinking about a 12 ftr, 6 rogue, 2 monk Acrobat, weapon finesse, quarter staff user. Getting Kensai 2, thief-acrobat 1 and lesser wind stance. I was thinking halfling because but I'm up for any suggestion on race. I don't have 32 point builds yet because I wanted to roll on Cannith. Do have access to drow and +1 tomes tho.

So i've checked the builds out and i see you've done something similar to what i'm interested in... unfortunately it's a 32pt build for someone who has lots of existing gear laying around. I'm a F2P player (in from beta) so i don't have the luxuries the existing build presumes. The build in question is Zergmeister, the insane rogue11/barb1 /ftr2 by ozoro.

My concept: I want something that's got a lot of fun to play value and some challenge but doesn't hinder a group. It'd be darned nice if it actually helped them out I love the thought of someone stepping out of the shadows with a big two handed blade (be it axe or sword) and just going berserk. To that end, here are my aspirations for the build in order of priority

    Objectives
    .5) Not a warforged

    1) Two handed weapon with a damage die equal to, or larger than, 1d12.

    2) Ample sneak attack damage

    3) Sufficient trap finding and removal skills- i expect he will blow some in elite but i'd like normal runs to be something i never even worry about and hard runs to be something i'm confident at

    4) Itd be nice to survive a few encounters...not too many though ;p

Really hope someone can help me out with this!

I humbly request an Elven Ranger/Wizard. Preferably 12/8 using 28 points.

I started a thread here. It sets up the basics. Probably some unneeded skills though.

This game is a little different than PnP D&D, so I figured its best to ask the pros.

Good idea or bad idea to take first level as Rogue (and only taking Wiz to 7)?

Hi, new player, I have no tomes or other enhancements.

    I am looking for a 28 build

    Race Drow

Rogue(2)levels - I would like to be very strong in hide/unlock/disarm

Wizard - I would like to be strong Charm, CC, and some damage would be nice too

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello,

I have a strong desire to play a Warforged rogue, and have had difficulty finding some solid advice on it, seeing as I want a pure 20, or maybe 19/1, rogue. Why? While I do like and accept multiclassing, I think it'd be interesting to try some (mostly) pure characters out.

In particular, I'm looking for the ability to handle most, if not all, traps, a reasonable UMD to pop off useful scrolls/wands when need be, and decent damage. I'm not too picky on weapon usage, either.

I have 28 point builds unlocked currently, and am playing on Cannith with a lack of gear for the character. A 32 point build would be acceptable, and I'd be fine pushing it off until I can get the favor up.

    Thanks in advance.

You only need one level to "unlock" them.

High INT. Both classes will benefit. Points in CON are a MUST. Also, DEX. Put the rest in STR, WIS, or CHA. The rest is up to the builders ITT.

On Euro servers, long time ago, we had a PvP event, arena fight. Wizard won tho Ranger was second.

    So:
    - if build called 'Aspenor' has something to do with Wizard, you're dead
    - that Ranger was jumping alot until he had Multishot active. So you just need 6 ranger levels and solid Jump skill.

Dunno if this thread is still going, but if so I'd like to make a request.

A 28 point Dwarven Stalwart Defender who can disarm traps and pick locks. Preferably 18 Fighter levels for third-tier PrE. Assume only +1 tomes from the store available. Not a fan of khopeshes, prefer to go d-axe (or b-sword if extra feats lying around). TWF feats acceptable to do DPS when not tanking.

Basically a 'standard' tank build with a splash of utility. Not interested in sneaking, but I'm tired of being in rogue-less groups (or worse, with rogues who can't do traps).

VVVV: This is why I'm asking here, I tried it myself and couldn't get it to work. Ranger is not an option because this is specifically to be a Stalwart Defender build.

With a 28 point build a fighter is a very poor choice to mix with rogue and expect it to be able to find and disable traps. Even with a 32 point build expecting a almost pure fighter build to both find an disable traps is a stretch. They just don't get enough skill points to spend to be able to do everything you want and will need it to do.

If you want fighter type, I'd suggest a ranger/rogue on a 28 point build.

Any chance someone could be so kind as to update the "Pinksock: TWF Pick+ or Hammer user focusing on crit damage"
build for level 20?, or general tactical fighter using trip etc, with focus on heavy pick as the main weapon
