If you are going to be building characters for people please make them with the understanding that the level cap will eventually go to 20. Noone want to reroll at 19 because their build dies there.
Example your barb14 rogue 2 has BAB 19 at 20 instead of 20. Which is the normal cap for DND. So at 20 they will have 1 less attack and your last attack in DDO is your best. So right there you have taken the highest DPS melee class and reduced its DPS by about 20% because you didn't plan for 2 more level increases. Be careful people want help because they don't want to have to reroll next level increase
hiya, enjoy reading your builds! - I'm always on the lookout for fun but effecient characters and on that note I'd like to request a:
32pt Halfling twf rogue(min 10 lvls of rogue) - assasin style killar
dex/finesse, with 3 healing dragonmarks, hvy focus on backstabbing, medium focus on sneaking
want high UMD
you can include +6 stat items, +1 tomes(and a +2favortome), raid loot from the reaver, good gear but not über(no WoP dropped for me yet)
edit: feel free to multiclass fighter/ranger/wizard etc to get the feats and whatnot
- thanks

28pt Drow
Heal, Buff, CC
Focus on WIS/CHA, add in UMD
10 STR, go from there.
Thanks!
Yes, I am an Irish R and B singer!
Looking for an awesome solo build, I usually run with a cleric in Army of Two mode, so I need a build that will do DPS and not blow all of the priests sp. Prefer a wiztank build but whatever
I have never played a monk in any d&d game so it would help if you could give me a build.
drspikey 16 elven cleric (kyhber)/Melheno 4 Monk (kyhber)/dagarnus 8 drow wizard (kyhber)/seasick ranger5/rouge2/fighter1/ Daemonson ranger 6 (kyhber)proud member of the dragon renaissance broterhood / knights of the goldon blade
I would like to see what a defensively minded barbarian would look like. Nevermind the practicallity of it, I just would like to see if its possible. Lets say CE is a must but dont want to completely neglect damage, as any melee should be able do decent damage. Race is up to the designer. Equipment is pretty much a non-issue, most can be gotten if not just taken out of the bank. Thanks in advance for any help.
I need a good, all arounder, pure cleric build. A little tank, a little melee, a little healing, and a little smiting o' the undead. Any race but the giant robot plz.
I like to twink around with builds myself but I really love what you have done with a few of yours. I would like to see if you could build the ultimate rune cracker:
- Any Race and/or Class Combinations
- 32 Builds
- As many +1 Tombs as you want to use
- Assume +4 Stat Items (I can likley eventually get +6 but wand to just stick with +4)
- No raid loot
- Must be able to hit every rune in game (CHA, WIS, INT in adtion be able to pull STR levers) and do them by 10th level!
- Would be nice if it was also excelent (finding and disamring, spot optional) with most traps and some locks
- Should also be able to fulfill at least one other secondary role in the party (ie: Backup healer, buffer or secondary DPS)

Drow TWF Battle Cleric (Must be able to cast level 6 spells)
Must have extend, heighten and maximize spell, mental toughness, improved mental toughness and Improved Critical
if you have room add some good melee feats.
Would like to focus more on being able to get around, balance, jump, conc, tumbling, etc.
Heh, sorta looks like you have 75% of your build figured out
True, although upon a little more research, i found that it was almost pointless to post the other 25% because, a) battlemage builds do exsist, i found a few within this post; and b) battlemages dont seem to be particularly usefull in group combat when you can either use a straight fighter or straight caster, so i am trying out some of the other builds i have found within this forum to see exactly what it is that i am searching for in a build.
1) There is no TWF Battle Cleric build in the thread
2) The title of the thread is "Request a Build - Get a Build" so that is what I'm doing.
3) The Battle Cleric's role in a group is a catch all. A jack of all trades, master of none. I love soloing quests so a battle cleric would be perfect for me. The TWF battle cleric idea is just a fun character I want to make.
Hi!
I am new to DDO and unfortunately, due to real life commitments, I will rarely (if ever) have the time or opportunity to join a group. As a result I was wondering what you would recommend for soloing throughout the game.
Since I am new it would need to be 28pts, no tomes, no special equipment and no drow.
I've looked over the forums for ideas and the most popular would appear to be a Warforged Wizard or Sorceror.
From a play perspective I enjoy sneaking and ranged combat. I also enjoy melee but I find it generally more fun to eliminate enemies and complete quests while minimizing risk . The character I currently have is an Elf 1 fighter/2 rogue but this character is having real trouble getting past the "rescue the prisoners from the Kobold prison" quest that is needed for access to the marketplace - it has to be completed on normal and the character has no defense against the magic missiles of the kobold shamans. I also enjoy the ability to spot hidden things, search, disable device and open locks. However, I have noticed that the dungeons are typically designed so that is almost impossible to avoid fighting large groups of opponents at specific points which makes it typically impossible to sneak all the way in and complete a quest.
Ideally, whatever build is suggested would be able to solo all difficulty levels of a given quest (which I suspect my current fighter/rogue can not do). However, as long as the character can make it through most of the game while solo that would be fine.
Thanks!
Hey Mawai,
I'm not really a build expert, so I'll leave any definitive answers to those guys. But I have had a fair bit of experience in soloing DDO with a variety of builds (it's a personal challenge of mine to create a build that can solo this game).
First off, you are in for a significant challenge. You are going to be heading into dungeons alone that were designed for (at least) four players, and that stacks the odds against you. Especially if you are new and have little prior knowledge of what to expect inside. But don't despair, it can be done. I myself have taken a pure solo build to level 7 (and that's without repeating any dungeon more than once on any given difficulty level, if you don't have that restriction, then you will have it somewhat easier).
While it is true that a warforged sorc or wizard is a strong solo build, I'm not sure I would recommend it to a new player. The problem with this build is that at low levels, you are going to get squashed. Low AC, low HP, and low mana levels are a deadly combination (although the high will save is nice ). I tried one of those myself, and even as an experienced player (that knows the low level quests like the back of my hand), had a great deal of difficulty with it.
My suggestion would be to go with a melee build of some sort. Paladins are nice (high AC, max BAB progression, good HP, and some nice immunities as you level up, not to mention a variety of self heals and divine wand usage). You can take a high CHA (which is good for pallys) and then take Force of Personality feat to maximize your Will Save.
Since you like ranged builds, Rangers are an obvious choice, but you are going to have a lower AC (unless you spend feats to grab medium and heavy armor proficiencies). But you do get the CLX wand usage, and favored enemy feats (if chosen wisely) can make all the difference.
Arguably, the Will Save is one of the most important stats there are for a solo build, in my opinion. No matter how good a player you are, all it takes is a single hold person spell to land (or command or ottos or anything that prevents you from dealing out damage) and it's "game over, man!". You have to be able to shrug off those sorts of spells, and that requires a high will save.
Anyway, I'll let the experts chime in and give you better advice. Those are just my two coppers on the subject

Hi Ron,
I looked at your DDO solo project web page but it doesn't seem to list what characters you have used. Could you tell me what builds you have found useful and successful at soloing?
Cheers,
Mawai
Well, okay. I'm a bit leery of posting my builds these days, especially the solo builds, because inevitably someone will come along and ridicule it, but I suppose I'll take the risk here But really, you probably ought to wait for someone who is a whole lot better at this than I am. I am, at best, a mediocre build designer.
Now, keep in mind the rules on my solo page, I have somewhat different priorities than you do, and that affects the build (for instance there's a high concentration of skills spent in the roguely arts). I would never take this build into a group, it would be terrible (group oriented characters all tend to be specialists, while solo oriented characters are forced to be generalists.
One last thing, this is an old build (it was my most successful solo build to date, which is why I'm showing it), but I don't think it can be build exactly this way anymore (it gets all red-flashy at level 13 due to an enhancement prereq error, so I suspect some numbers have changed in the game in the meantime).
But anyway, here it is:

Actualy there are at least two. They don't match your exact specs though. I'll try to do yours when I have the time but you can see what I've done in the generaly area in the past.
