    Incredible builds! I just started a Drow Sorcerer (lvl 2) and wanted to try my hand at multi-classing. I have yet to venture from the pure classes, as I am still fairly new to playing D&D online. I was really interested in your BLADE BANGER a Chaotic Good - Drow – Fighter 7 / Sorcerer 7. I was hoping you might be able to come up with something similar for me. I really want to make my Drow Sorcerer melee capable. I'm open to all suggestions (again, this is my first multi-class character). I do prefer she be more Sorcerer than anything else, but am open to Fighter, Pally, Barb, or whatever works. I believe she is currently Neutral Good. If this is going to be a problem, I can always re-create her. Also, if this is an impractical build please let me know, as I've been toying with the idea of a Sorc/Rouge. Again, I would love any and all suggestions. Thanks.

    P.S. Most intrigued by the Sorc/Pally combination.

    The current chars I've put together - if you want to build up one of them, I'd be curious:

    Warmage - Fighter 1/Wiz 13. Elven, finesse, extend spell, etc.
    Warbard - Barb 1/Bard 13, Warchanter, Two handed weapons.
    Dwarven TWF, Axe focused.
    I play on Ghall...Gall..Galli...The new Fernia. Lifetaker, Heartbreaker, and Battlemage
    Terrakal: Roguey Stabby guy. Gyness the Stout: I drink to hide my rage. Gyshe: Race: Elf. Class: Elf. Roomsweeper: Boomsticks. Ramparts: Pally Intimitank. Crucible: Hammer and Tongs. And Shafted: Cleric* Archer *Not a cleric.

    Could always go 8 Sorc / 4 Fighter / 2 Paladin. But I am strange and love to realy mix things up.

    Paly must be Lawful good. And I'll be curious to see this one, as it's been an occasional curiosity for me, too.

    Was looking for a 28pt build for a Ranged Cleric Drow with DV's. I would like to go mainly cleric with splashing Ranger, but unsure how many levels and how to go about it.

    Wow! Fast responses. Thank you all so much for the killer suggestions. I'll re-create her for Lawful Good. So many fun routes to go, but I am absolutely thrilled about WolfSpirit's Sorcerer/Rouge/Paladin build. Incredible! Thank you so much. She should grow to be incredibly self-sufficient, but still work well within a party. I couldn't have asked for more and am so excited to get her re-started!

    Oh, and VonBek, glad I could make you smile with the name of my Barb. The name of this new Sorc/Rouge/Pally might also give you a chuckle then: TwistedSis.

    You would have to give up UMD and increase your Int quite a bit. You also are open to disrupted spells, so stay back!

    You really did your homework. Thank you. I never could have figured all this out. I'm already feeling a little overwhelmed. I definitely see the difference between the first and second option. The third is a little scary and I really want to keep the Pally. If I where to opt for Disable Device & Open Lock, the first appears to be the most appealing. Honestly, after seeing all the options you've laid out (and I still can't thank you enough for all this), I'm probably going to go with the build you presented in the previous post. I think I'm just getting greedy by wanting the Disable & Open, and will just wind up wrecking my Sorc. I'm even starting to wonder if a Sorc/Pally would be a better choice and I'm just going overboard with the Rouge. See... Told you I was getting a bit overwhelmed. LOL.

    I personally like to stress Spot over Open Lock. But that is because I don't rogue it often, and so I don't know where all the boxes are. Once I have had more experience as the party rogue I will start skimping on the spot checks.

    One I slapped together as an alternative to one of my characters was a Warforged Rogue 2 / Fighter 2 / Wizard 10. Mine is a Fighter 4 / Wizard 10, but the combat style concept would be the same. Focus entirely on ranged weapons and distanced combat. Carry around a Light Mithrail shield for casting while holding a scepter or something, and just build an arsenal of bows. With Precise Shot it works out pretty good (My main bow is a +2 Holy Longbow of Puncturing).

    Well the hammers and tong build is not finessible, simply because you need a high strength in able to stun. I do not endorse finesse fighters because (1) there is no AC synergy as they have strength and not dex enhancements and (2) most people who invite you to a group dont want a dex monkey. Here is a drow ranger that is finesse based and should suit your needs well:

    I will work on a drow verson that is mostly a strength fighter for the hammer and tongs. Note that Drow are adaptable to multiclassing and this is how I will look at things. For single classes, I prefer human as they can add a point to any stat making the drow stat advantage marginal and the extra feat tips the advantage to the human.

    My first character (table top) was an halfling rogue-acrobat. I'd love to see him back in DDO form. I have tomes (+1 dex, int, cha) and 32 pts builds. For fun, (he used to fight with it) i'd like to see a bastard sword in his hands. Any class combo is allright but at least improved evasion. No trap monkey but no miss on normal and at least adequate on hard. Versatibility with UMD would be appreciated. I'm not sure if the dragonmarks would make him better but don't stop if it does. The character will mostly duo, if it can help, but he has to be good at something if i group. I liked the way you approach these requests so have fun with mine.

    Default Rogue/Pal/Sorc Build

    I am interested in making this build

    Rogue 2 (for UMD and evasion)
    Pal 2
    Sorceror 10

    The race can be drow or a 32 point char

    Two levels of rogue
    Two levels of pal
    Ten levels of sorc

    I have tried a few builds but cannot come up with a good one.
    I know this is a build that has been done before but I haven't been able to find an outline.

    I want to mainly do melee fighting wiht a sword and shield.
    High UMD
    Self Haste

    Ok Sig I got one for you for when mod 5 hits I will have 2 extra spots and am thinking of making a pair of barbs. Was thinking I'd like a WF Barb/Ftr that uses both 2 handed slashing & 2 handed blunt. Why? I've got a few WF only greatswords laying around from experimenting w/ lord of the blades and also recently pulled a para maul that actually is doing nice dmg on top of paralyzing mobs in my wf ftr/pallys hands right now. Only tomes I have are a +1 INT and a +1 WIS but I may be able to trade those to a guildy for something more usefull. I do have 32 points avaliable and yes I know clerics are going to fear me Also got a fair selection of docents from my previous warforged and only having to get a mod. fort item is kinda sweet. The other slot, well maybe a human barb or maybe something completely different

    I would like you to help me build "Solomon Kane".

    This is the lesser known hero of Robert E. Howard which he came up with before Conan. Although his short stories are not as popular as the Conan ones, I have personally always liked him better.

    Basic requirements: must use a rapier and dagger TWF. Must be finesse based with enough dex to warrant wearing robes (because he doesn't wear armor) but also enough str to fit Solomon Kane's described iron grip. Must be (obviously) human. Would like a little ranged capability as well to simulate his pistol and musket. NO rogue in the build please. I would like some paladin also if at all possible, as he is a Puritan headhunter basically.

    Oh, and i have 32 pt builds.

    EDIT 2: Decided I would be able to deal with spellcasting.

    EDIT: Just 1 more thing to add. Since the character is extremely durable I would love for you to work as much hp as possible in there. Whenever i try it myself he either has too little str or only around 240 end game hp, and thats just horrible.

    From Wikipedia, to help frame the build:

    Howard describes him as a somber and gloomy man of pale face and cold eyes, all of it shadowed by a slouch hat. He is dressed entirely in black and his weaponry consists of a rapier, a dagger, and a couple of flintlock pistols. During one of his latter adventures his friend N'Longa, a black African shaman, gave him a voodoo staff that served as a protection against evil, but could easily be wielded as an effective weapon. It is revealed in another story, "The Footfalls Within," that this is the mythical Staff of Solomon, a talisman older than the Earth and unimaginably powerful, much more so than even N'Longa knew. In the same adventure with N'Longa, Kane is seen using a musket as well.

    well i can't find any thing in the rogue forums. so i am asking you. i've seen your work and its pretty good. so i'm looking for a DEX rogue female halfling. piercing and ranged spec'd. trapsmithing over combat but useful in a skirmish. not sure if ranger bow STR works with crossbows. looking at repeaters as a main with piercing weapons as back up melee. mostly stat damage, utility effects(crippling, destruction etc.), and any power 5 i can get( mostly looking at para, disrution and banishing). multiclassing obviously will be a must. not sure if ranger would be better than paladin but fighter will be the most useful. could go twf with ranger/fighter/rogue but if paladin/fighter/rogue works better i'd like to know. looking to replace my level 9 rogue. pierce spec'd trapmonkey. didn't know some things i do now and would like to try my hand at keeping farther from comabt.




    edit: if "way of the mechanic" can be worked in with out giving up any thing, that would be nice too.
