I was going to mention WF wizard/rogue/fighter. Levels all dependant on what youd want to cast. But it is a direction I will be going (or wiz/mon/fighter) for a twf spellswordish class.

First off, I'm barely a premier account, with a few purchased low level quests. And I have all races/classes except Half Orc, Favored Soul, and no 32 point builds.

I've been playing D&D PnP & computer games since 1984, and DDO off & on for a year and a half.

I've tried several dozen combinations of races and classes, but haven't found a combination I like, even on the forums.

As to the things I'd like in a build:
    1. Self-healing on the fly.
--I really hate potions-never seem to have enough, or the money for them.
--Wands are nice, but not during a battle.
    2. High DPS
--Prefer two handed weapons. The Great Axe/Sword are my current favorites.
    3. High(ish) Hit Points
--I've had problems with builds that had fewer than 80 hp at level 4.
---I sometimes lose track of hp during battles.
    4. Finding Hidden Doors!
--To much content gets lost if you can't get past a hidden door, including shrines.
    5. Balance
--Can't tell you how many builds I've made that suffered from low balance!
    6. Tumble
--Can't tell you how much I love not having to use a feather fall item! (except in special cases)
    7. Soloability
--Never have enough play time to find a party to do the quest I want to do

Things that would be nice, but not to die for:
    1. Summoned help-for emergencies
    2. Find/disable traps.
    3. Unlock doors/chests.

    Notes:
My almost level 7 Rogue wields a great axe, sneaks, finds-unlocks-disables things just fine, seldom gets knocked down, and rarely needs her feather fall clicky, but she goes through potions so fast she keeps me broke! (Her UMD only alows her to effectively use a Cure Light Wounds wand, but it takes forever to use.)

I recently built a wizard/cleric who's wizard skills are limited to finding hidden doors, knock, feather fall, summon monster 2, etc, while the cleric side is wearing full plate, wielding a great sword, and heals. Down side? Only 65 hp at level 4, and not sure how long she'll last.

I prefer the drow race, loved them since I first saw them in the "Eye of the Beholder" series, but any that works, and I have, is fine.

If you have, or know of a build that fits my needs, fantastic, I haven't been able to find/recognize one on the forums.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Drow Paladin/fighter/rogue

STR 14 (put all level-up points here)
    DEX 10
    CON 14
    INT 16
    WIS 10
    CHA 16

The level split will be 15 Paladin/2 fighter/3 rogue

The paladin enhancement line will be Hunter of the Dead

    Levels and Feats:

    1. Rogue (toughness)
    2. Paladin
    3. Paladin (Two handed fighting)
    4. Paladin
    5. Paladin
    6. Paladin (Power Attack)
    7. Paladin
    8. Paladin
    9. Fighter (Improved Critical: Slashing - Fighter bonus feat = Improved Two Handed Fighting)
    10. Rogue
    11. Paladin
    12. Paladin (Greater Two Handed Fighting)
    13. Paladin
    14. Paladin
    15. Paladin (Empower Healing Spell)
    16. Paladin
    17. Paladin
    18. Paladin (Weapon focus: Slashing)
    19. Fighter (Weapon specialisation: Slashing)
    20. Rogue

Here is how it meets your criteria:

    1. 1. Self-healing on the fly. - This build can make use of lay on hands, and later, paladin healing spells in order to heal itself when in combat. Outside of combat it can use wands. The Hunter of the Dead enhancement line will give you healing amplification, which will make your self heals land for more.

    2. High DPS - You list the greataxe and greatsword as your favourites, this build would make best use of a Falchion as Paladins get a lot of their damage from using smite evil. If you don't want to use a falchion then the greatsword will still give you nice DPS.

    3. High(ish) Hitpoints - The Paladin and fighter levels will give you a lot of base hit points, as well as access to toughness enhancements that will be worth up to 60 hp (though you'll likely stop at Paladin Toughness III, 4 AP for 10 hp probably isn't worth it)

    4. Finding Hidden Doors - Rogue levels, high int, and racial bonuses will all make this easy. You'll also have the UMD to simply use a wand.

    5. Balance - is a rogue class skill, you don't need more than 15 and should be able to max this

    6. Tumbe - You can max it if you want but I'd do what everyone else does and just stick one point in it, you can't take much damage from falling but the benefit of feather fall is being able to land where you want to.

    7. Soloability - This build has evasion, high hp, self healing, and fantastic saves. It is an excellent solo character.

As to your optionals, this build can do trap skills if you like - the high int and rogue levels should be enough for you to max search and disable. You can (and should) also max UMD on it.

    I love it! Thanks!

    Edit:
Found a minor error... Two attribute points short, so I dropped INT to 14 so that could get CHA to 16. (I figure the CHA is more important to the Paladin than the INT is.)
If I'm wrong, let me know, and I'll reroll.
    Edit:
Can't take Two Handed Fighting without STR=15 at level 3. So swapping Power Attack and THF.

Remember you can buy/find +2 tomes - min level to apply is 7. Many builds take the use of these as a given.

    Quite true!
However, Once I create a toon, and enter, I go to the airship where I can either choose to head to Korthos as a level 1, or level up to level 4 in a few seconds. (Kinda hard to grab a tome in between.)
Leveling to level 4 in a few seconds has several advantages:
    1) All lower level content is still available, which aids in leveling further.
    2) I can determine in a few minutes, or an hour, at most, if the build is worth keeping. (Rather than grinding for days to find out I hate it.)
    3) Wasting any tome on a build you're not sure of, is a bad idea, IMHO. (Unless you know of a place that drops them on a regular basis.)
-(similar to Freefall items. I've been playing DDO for a year and a half, and have never gotten any tomes, or a freefall item that didn't have charges.)
-(and folks seem to think everyone is willing to pay 35ppk for a freefall item without charges. I've never had 20ppk at any one time!)

    Default new build request

So, i'm still new to the game, but i already like a lot the skill aspect of it - speacialy umd and tumble xD. Also i was always a fan of debuffs and negative status and i like ir much more then doing demange....
So, i would like to ask you guys if theres any build that focus on those aspects, or if it would be possible to make me one. I'm vip and i just bought the veteran status and 32pts builds.
I have no preferenc in classes, but I preffer a melee character, thougt if you guys think a spellcaster would be better, its fine by me as well...

Thanks for your attention - and sorry for my bad english...

most of what you describe sounds like an acrobat rogue. lots of cool movement abilities, and you can use stat damage weapons instead of the more conventional stuff.

Acrobats get a bonus to staves... but staves are terrible. This is what I recommend:
You won't actually need the +1 tome until level 15, to qualify for Greater twf.
Barbarian level is for the use of rage, and quick movement, which fits well.
Ranger because you'll want to do something other than jump around during fights and tempest is best way to do that.

    [/code]

    Staffs are not terrible.

    Suggest 13 rogue, 6 fighter, 1 monk.

    or 13 rogue, 6 monk, 1 fighter.

This gives you feats, hp, and stances.

good staffs. Nat Gann, Souleater, Witching hour. there are others.

I suggest this thread for Koopaling.

And here is the staff list.

Sorry for posting other links on this thread, but in light of the other information, it was simpler.

    Good luck Koopaling.

Here's a request for someone who wants to get REALLY creative, with a story to boot:

All throughout my DDO experience, I've found myself remaking and remaking characters, never seeming to find a class I like. Caster after melee after healer after trapmonkey, you name it, I hated it so much. I then made a dragonmarked halfling wizard and found myself in hog heaven. Worried about it's viability, I started rolling other casters. WF Wizards, Drow Savants. I hated all those characters.

It wasn't until recently that I realized it wasn't the class or the playstyle that was the issue: I'm good at just about everything in this game. No, that wasn't it at all. It was the race. I am a horrible racist against anything in this game that is not a halfling. I love them so much. I don't know why, I just can't stand NOT playing as one. Especially with a high jump score.

What does this have to do with a request? Well, here goes:

I want the ultimate halfling build. Makes use of every possible thing a halfling has to offer, including the healing dragonmarks. Use as many awesome enhancements as you can- use the dex bonus as much as you can, go crazy with it. I want a character to fit the race of halfling and all it's self-healing and short gimpy goodness.

Does this character have to be good? Of course it does. Does it have to be viable? You bet. Does it have to be short? Hell yeah.

    Preferences:
-Very high jump score. Dead serious. Love jumping. Halflings seem to jump higher than anything else, do you know why? Because they have giant... toes. Screw anything else, a high jump is where it's at.
-Spells. Any of them. I need a blue bar beneath the red one.

    Restrictions:
-I do not have monk. But if this build ABSOLUTELY REQUIRES IT, I will probably buy it anyway.
-HAS to be self-sufficient. Not that hard to accomplish with the dragonmarks. I love to not have to depend on a cleric to heal me in the middle of battle.

    Have fun, creative builders.

    Default Repeater build

Hi, I'm still pretty new to the game so been trying out things. Builds are so hard to make. >.<

Trying to get a F2P, 28pt repeater build which maximizes it's dps. I don't really want to nuke and be invincible. Just have fun and repeater seems to be the way to go for me. By the way, I have drow unlocked.

Been thinking about 6rog/14ftgr or 10rog/10ftgr for mechanic and bonus feats. The latter one would also get improved evasion.

Not sure about the level progression either and any tips on enhancements would be great.

    Have fun, creative builders.
here you go. With this spec, you have damage, you have trap skills, you have self healing from Ranger, Dragonmarks, and UMD. You have spells from Wiz and ranger, Expeditious retreat, and Rams might are the 2 spells you want. You have almost maxed dex. You have max jump. I gave you favored Enemy Giant for Halfling flavor, and Lawful outsider for need at high level.

Your major damage is going to come from Sneak attacks with your 2 weapons. Most likely short swords or other light finesse weapons. You have PA to offset some of your str shortage. You can switch to bow/many shot and then charge in to attack with 2 weapons, back out and shoot again when many shot is off timer. If your close you get your backstab on the many shot shots also. You have halfling guile, and cunning for better attack and damage. You don't have any of the PREs, as they don't help this build much. You could go assassin or mechanic, but your int is low for insta kills in epics. I could change this to lower the str, and raise the int on this build to make assassin or mechanic more viable.

you will need to get a shroud hp item, and superior false life item.

Taking wiz 1 is totally unnecessary for just extend, if you were going to use the wiz bonus for anything, it'd be for maximizing your dragonmark heals.... Also, this build seems to have considerably low damage. Taking 6 ranger for just the spells is unwise, but this doesn't provide enough feats for tempest anyway...

    Smile looking for a build

looking for a monk pally cleric build i have a couple ideas on hand but i want some adivde as builds as well. i have done sum tinkering with multiclassing and have come across some good stuff and bad stuff (pros - cons) i would also like some insight on weither i should do monk or go rogue for traps/haste boost for IAS. im in no way new or oblivious to building just stretching my horizon for new ideas. my end goal will be 34PT build high AC melee healer. no need to post gear. just stats/levles of class/ and what order to create. apprecieate the help
