    Default Healer/Rouge

Ok..this one might be interesting but I want a rouge/healer combo type class. I want it to maximize the use of the Cleric Buffs and heals as well the rogue Disable Device/Traps/Search/Spot. I only have a 28 point build and the only class I have unlocked is Warfordged. I dont care what race it is but as long as it could take full advantage of Cleric Heals and Buffs...and the rogue skills and if it could be self Efficiant I would like that as well.

Just to clarify: Are you interested in a character which will be able to melee on top of the healing part, or are you fine with healing/buffing/traps?

The former will be quite difficult to incorporate on a 28pt. There is a 36pt version of such a thing: http://forums.ddo.com/showthread.php?t=292100&p=3480422

The latter will be quite possible - 17 Cleric is not a bad choice, 3 rogue levels can help you with the skill points.

    you mean beholders?

    17 cleric with 46 wisdom,
spell focus and greater spell focus necromancy,
1 quicken energy drain, and an 1 quickened destruction will kill these in almost no time ^^.

otherwise go for firewall. they like those.
unless in an anti magicfield, then there isnt.

well maybe wizards with spell like archmage abilities. not sure about them.

Hmm...thats what I thought when I was working a bit with the custom build. I just dont know what lvl to take the rouge. I usually started out with rough...then took three lvls of cleric when I got to lvl four but I dont know what to do past there. Feats, Enhancements...stuff like that.

    Default Leveling Tank

Can anybody point me to a build that has what I'm looking for? Perhaps my search-fu is weak, but I can't seem to find a build that matches my needs.

I made a thread regarding this in the new player forum, but I think I was unclear in my goals.

I'm looking for a tank I can use to level. Whenever I play I'll be with (at least) a rogue. I don't mind respeccing / repurposing at high levels (17+ or so). I realize this wouldn't be as efficient for leveling as zerging with an extreme dps build, and thats ok with me, especially since I wont do much zerging and I dont know the content.

My goals are the build are to (from 5-17 lets say):

    A) Be able to Hold aggro - through a 'Intimidate', 'Hate', or both. I'd like to not have to rely on other party members using diplomacy/holding back (Though I'm sure we'll do that too)

    B) Be able to survive through a combination of high HPs/Saves/DC/AC or even self-healing.

    C) Be built with a 32 point build with no past-life feats. I *DO* have access to all the races and classes though, so half-orcs, half-elves, monks and favored souls are fair game.

    D) Limited cash as I have no high level character. "Twink" Items are out unless they can be farmed with a level 12 wizard. I have some decent low level weapons, though.

    E) I would prefer not to have to use multiple +2 tomes at level 7; If all other requirements are met, though, I can live with this.

OK, I have a character which I am about to TR again with a guildie. His first life was 18/2 ranger/fighter. His second life is pure paladin. He has dual min 2 khopeshes. Basically, I want something that has solid AC, can do a significant amount of dps, and UMD would be nice. Going half-orc wouldn't hurt my feelings.

There are several builds I am currently contemplating, but does anyone have any suggestions?
Too many toons to list, but the mains are Achewon, Westudi, and Shonufff.

    Monk 12/Rogue 7/ Fighter 1

    Starting stats (32 point)

STR 14 (level ups go here)
DEX 16 (need +1 tome or one level-up to qualify for ITWF)
    CON 16
    INT 12
    WIS 12
    CHA 6

    Feats

    Toughness
    Two Weapon Fighting
    Improved Two Weapon Fighting
    Greater Two Weapon fighting
    Improved Critical: Bludgeoning
    Stunning Fist
    Power Attack
    Stunning Blow

+3 feats of your choice, the following are some suggestions

Weapon focus and weapon specialisation (+1 to hit and then +2 to damage from this pair)
Multiple toughness feats (more hp is always good)
Skill focus: UMD (to help against the hit you'll take to UMD from low CHA)

This build will have a decent damage output from monk fists + 4d6 +9 sneak attack damage.

Monk levels provide good saves, improved evasion, healing amp.

Light monk path will bring more survivability

Dark monk path will bring more DPS

both are perfectly viable on this build.

Fighter level provides: 1 feat, haste boost, extra hp from toughness enhancement.

    Default Wanted! Sir Holy Squeak!

have a few traditional straight toons and am looking to try a paladin.

    Looking for -

    1. good dps. but not looking to compare numbers with a fully geared h-orc barbarian
    2. hoping to go pure pally to get the experience.
    3. not be a burden on the group - need to do well in higher lvl quests/raids
    4. not depend on more than 2 +2 tomes for build
    5. 2 weapon fighter will be nice. but open to 2 handers also

    Must haves-

    1. Must be halfling

    Resources-
    1. 32 pt build
    2. +2 str, dext, intel and wis tomes. but hoping not to use more than a couple +2s.
    3. full set of +1 tomes

Default 36 point half orc strength based monk build

With the new Mod coming out looking seriously about dropping stunning fist and picking up stunning blow instead. Focusing mainly on Str and just getting the damage as high as possible. So what i would like is a build that has grandmaster wind stance using +2 tomes on all stats, past lives are monk x 2 fighter x 1. No litany, however have +12 str in items ( +6 item +3 exceptional, +3 profane) so keep str even if poss. thanks in advance

    Exclamation

yes that is a good build but is also a 34 pt human. which is a big differance from a 28pt halfling. where would the extra six points come from? he also uses a +2 int tome at lvl 7, along with human granting him an extra feat.

this is my first custom build attempt and should be taken with heaps of salt -

A max repeater and melee in a pure rogue is going to impossible. The only way to get focus in each fighting style is to splash feat rich classes like fighter and ranger .

    Halfling meleeing repeater-

    Rogue 12/ fighter 6/ ranger2

    Str 8
Dext 18 (all lvl ups here)
    Con 14
    Intel 16

Free feats for 2 ranger -

    rapid shot
    2weapon fighting
(bow strength, but not of much use)

Selected feats - (7 available for all character +4 extra from fighter levels)

    Toughness
    Point blank shot
    Rapid reload
    Precise shot
    Improved precise shot
    Improved citical ranged
    Finesse
    improved 2 weapon fighting
    greater 2 weapon fighting

Weapon focus ranged and Weapon specialization ranged for kensai 1

    Selected rogue class feat -

    Improved evasion

There is a huge loss of sneak attack damage in this build compared to a straight rogue repeater. Even more when compared to a pure melee rogue. Improved precise shot will be fun to use. But rogue lack a ranged aggro reduction mechanism and could end up biting more than you can chew.
What the build will have is a lot more hp than a straight rogue and probably one of the top trap skills with mech2.

On the other hand, if one goes elf the possibility of going arcane archer-mechanic comes up. but will need to be worked on...
